Such a fun Sunday getting to drop the puck for Unum day at the Maine Mariners game. Even the pups got some cool Unum gear!

Each January, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) through service to the communities where we live and work. In Portland, we invited two of our non-profit partners, Best Buddies Maine and In Her Presence, to enjoy a performance by Unique Unknown with the Children's Museum & Theater of Maine. Several groups of employees went to the Partners for World Health and helped pack care kits. We made it easy for employees to get trained in hand-only CPR by hosting a training on our campus by the American Red Cross. In Chattanooga, we helped the Northside Neighborhood Project by sorting shoe donations for the Northshore Thrift Store. The unusually cold conditions in the South caused us to postpone several planned events, but we managed to get some volunteering in before the snow came. We packed fresh fruit & vegetable boxes for FoodShare South Carolina and Unum Atlanta employees packed snack packs and hygiene kits for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. It was a great week to share our caring spirit. #UnumCares
