Our US Lifesciences team is delighted to host a delegation of leading US healthcare systems in Ireland this week, connecting them with innovative Enterprise Ireland Lifescience client companies. Our delegation visited Enterprise Ireland HQ for our 2024 US Healthcare Seminar, where they shared valuable insights on the transformation of US healthcare and explored strategies for Irish companies to enter and scale in the US market. Irish offshore firm Green Rebel has successfully deployed two state-of-the-art LiDAR buoys in the North Sea in partnership with Houston TX based TGS. Green Rebel's LiDAR solution measure wind, MetOcean, and environmental data. The data collected will be sent back to shore and interpreted at Green Rebel's dedicated MetOcean base in Limerick. Kieran Ivers, CEO of Green Rebel said, “Green Rebel is excited to contribute to this groundbreaking project and look forward to the positive impact it will have on advancing offshore wind... Over the next 24 months, we will provide comprehensive metocean data support to TGS. Our suite of services includes wind, wave, and current measurements, along with an array of other surface and seabed-mounted sensors, ensuring a robust dataset for TGS's innovative Wind AXIOM platform." A busy week for celebrating Irish innovation on the US East Coast as we welcomed Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Peter Burke T.D., and Enterprise Ireland Chief Executive Officer, Leo Clancy, to Boston and New York. We were delighted to celebrate the successes of our innovative client companies across key sectors including construction, financial services, lifesciences, and technology, with highlights including: ✅ EnteraSense Limited have agreed a partnership with global medical device company, Cook Medical, to accelerate the rollout of their PillSense solution in the US healthcare industry. ✅ Workhuman have expanded their presence in Massachusetts, moving to a new 155,000 square foot office in Framingham, employing over 500 people in the state. ✅ Applegreen opened their travel plaza at Ardsley in New York, adding to their network of over 80 travel plazas in the United States. ✅ Tines announced the expansion of their US team by 35%, with over 40 new jobs in Massachusetts. ✅ Enterprise Ireland signed a partnership with Chief leadership network to support female leaders of Irish companies, based in the United States. ✅ Uniphar Group will invest in a new 65,000 square foot pharma grade facility on the East Coast. ✅ 20 Irish companies participated in an Enterprise Ireland and Citi 'Raising Capital & Investment' event to learn about scaling in the United States at Citi's NYC HQ. ✅ WaterWipes launched their new sustainable Hydrating Clean wipes in major US retailers, including Walmart. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke T.D. met with Uniphar Group, a global healthcare services firm with 2023 revenues of €2.6bn, in Boston as part of a broader trade mission to the US East Coast. The company discussed their ongoing growth in the US, including a significant investment in a new 65,000 square foot pharmaceutical grade facility on the East Coast. This facility will complement several recent US acquisitions, including that of Inspired Health in Massachusetts. As part of our trade mission to the US East Coast, Irish workflow automation company, Tines, announce the expansion of their US team by 35%, with over 40 new jobs in Massachusetts. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke T.D. and Enterprise Ireland Chief Executive Officer, Leo Clancy, visited Tines’s Boston office to celebrate their expansion, which will include new US roles in engineering, product development, management, and marketing. This morning, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke T.D., visited the new US headquarters of leading Irish technology company, Workhuman, in Massachusetts to celebrate their recent expansion in the state. Workhuman, an Enterprise Ireland-supported company, have opened a new 155,000 square foot office in Massachusetts, employing over 500 people in the state and over 1,000 globally, as they continue their impressive scaling journey.
