🚨IVF Research Milestone Alert🚨 Our research project, conducted in collaboration with our dear colleagues at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Oded Rotem & Assaf Zaritsky is now published in Nature Portfolio! In this manuscript, titled “Visual interpretability of image-based classification models by generative latent space disentanglement applied to in vitro fertilization,” we present DISCOVER, an AI model designed to discover the underlying visual properties that drive image-based classification models. We apply DISCOVER to interpret IVF embryo quality classification and show that DISCOVER provides a human-interpretable understanding of “black-box” classification AI models. We are excited to see how DISCOVER can pave the way for the future of interpretable AI in the field of IVF. A special congratulations to Oded Rotem, who led this project.
