🌍 Electrolyzers are Leading the Way to a Net-Zero World 🌍 As the world pushes for #decarbonization, electrifying traditionally high-emission processes is more crucial than ever. We’re seeing a shift to electric processes and to low-temperature reactions—goodbye to the huge, centralized high-temperature reactors of the past! One of the most exciting technologies emerging in this space is #Electrolyzers. Here’s why they’re making such a big impact: 1️⃣ Low-Temperature Operation: Unlike conventional high-temperature systems, electrolyzers operate at room temperature, meaning they can adapt seamlessly to fluctuations in #renewable #energy. This adaptability reduces the need for constant, stable power and makes them an ideal partner for renewable sources like solar and wind. 2️⃣ #Modular and #Decentralized: Electrolyzers are often compact, modular systems that can be stacked to scale. This makes them easier to deploy and transport and reduces logistics #emissions. This decentralized approach promotes smaller, local units, which reduce the infrastructure needed to transport fuels and products, further lowering CO₂ emissions. 3️⃣ Supporting Hard-to-Abate Sectors: In cases like Carbonade's, we’re working at room temperature with high selectivity and efficiency to recycle #CO₂ into critical feedstocks, helping address emissions in sectors that can’t simply “electrify”—think #aviation (#SAF) and shipping (#eMethanol). Electrolyzers are moving us closer to a truly #sustainable, #Netzero, resilient energy infrastructure. 🌱⚡ For those interested in learning more about the transformative potential of electrolyzers: https://lnkd.in/eknUbbiw #Electrolyzers #Decarbonization #NetZero #RenewableEnergy #SustainableIndustry #ClimateAction #CarbonReduction #FutureOfEnergy #GreenTech #efuel #innovation

Exciting news for the future of aviation! 🛫 Airlines and logistics service providers are willing to pay $6 per gallon for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF) — nearly 3x the current fossil fuel price of $2.29 per gallon. 🌍 This willingness to pay a green premium provides a powerful incentive to close the cost gap for innovative solutions that use #CO2 as a feedstock instead of #fossil fuels. With this market support, sustainable fuels can become even more cost-effective, accelerating the transition to #NetZero. 🌱 Thank you to Valeriya Azarova, Hartej Singh, Aamir Shams and RMI for their insights in this article! 🙏 #SustainabaleAviation #DecarbonizeAviation #eSAF #DecarbonizeChemicals #eChemicals #PowertoLiquid #PowertoX #Sustainableaviationfuel #Circulareconomy #Carboneconomy #CO2removal #CDR #DeepTech #ClimateTech #Climateinnovation https://lnkd.in/e9nwYauh

🌿 Inspired by #Nature: The Story of Carbonade 🌿 Have you ever wondered how the most innovative technologies often take cues from nature? For instance, the invention of #Velcro was sparked by the way burrs cling to animal fur, leading to an everyday essential. Japan’s bullet trains, known for their quiet efficiency, were inspired by the shape of the #kingfisher bird’s beak, reducing noise, and improving speed. Similarly, the development of gecko tape, which can hold heavy objects with minimal contact, was modeled after the adhesive properties of #gecko feet. At Carbonade, we asked ourselves: What if we could harness one of nature’s most beautiful and efficient processes—#photosynthesis? Using energy from the sun, plants convert #CO2 and water into essential products, and we saw an opportunity to emulate this process. Inspired by this natural miracle our technology uses sunlight to transform CO2 and water into valuable #carbon-based products like #efuel. Join us on this exciting journey towards a cleaner future, driven by the incredible power of nature! 🚀 Let's innovate together! 🚀 #Innovation #Sustainability #NatureInspired #Climatech

🌍 Together, We Can Overcome Any Challenge: Lessons from the Ozone Hole Success 🌍 At Carbonade, we are inspired by humanity's remarkable achievements in addressing environmental crises. In the 1980s, the depletion of the ozone layer posed a significant threat to our planet. This protective shield, which absorbs most of the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation, was thinning at an alarming rate due to the widespread use of CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons). But here’s the remarkable part: we didn’t just acknowledge the problem—we acted on it !!! Governments, scientists, and industries worldwide came together, leading to the landmark Montreal Protocol in 1987. This international treaty aimed to phase out the production and use of ozone-depleting substances. And guess what? It worked. The ozone hole is on a path to recovery, showing us the power of collective action (link to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Ozone Watch below 👇 ). Today, we face another monumental challenge: climate change. There's a lot of skepticism and doubt — can we stop the world from getting hotter? At Carbonade, we believe the answer lies in our past success. If we could mitigate the ozone hole, we can certainly tackle climate change. Here’s how we envision it: 1. Global Cooperation: Just as with the ozone, climate change is a global issue that requires countries to work together, sharing knowledge, resources, and technology. 2. Scientific Innovation: Investing in scientific research and innovative technologies can provide solutions that we may not yet imagine. For example at Carbonade, we are developing a novel electrochemical path to recycle #CO2 and reuse it to produce cost-attractive carbon-based products such as sustainable aviation fuel (#SAF) and #emethanol for the shipping industry. 3. Policy and Regulation: Effective policies and regulations, like the Montreal Protocol, can drive meaningful change. Governments need to implement and enforce measures that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 4. Public Awareness and Education: Raising awareness about climate change and its impacts can drive grassroots movements and influence policy. Educating communities on sustainable practices can lead to collective action. Corporate Responsibility: Businesses play a crucial role in mitigating climate change. By adopting sustainable practices and reducing their carbon footprint, they can lead by example and drive industry-wide changes. The skepticism and doubts are understandable, but we have a proven track record of overcoming environmental challenges when we work together. Let’s draw inspiration from our past achievements and unite to combat climate change. #ClimateAction #Sustainability #GlobalCooperation #EnvironmentalSuccess #Innovation https://lnkd.in/dBJgTMNZ
