I had the privilege to speak at the FPS event in Frankfurt - future talks on cyber security and upcoming new threats and challenges. One of the lovely questions by the moderator was about crisis negotiating payment. I explained to the participants that there could be some major reasons why the company decided to pay. Cyber Crisis Preparedness: The Key to Successful Mergers and IPOs When large companies undergo mergers or prepare for an initial public offering (IPO), the primary focus is usually on valuations, financial strategy, and regulatory compliance. However, in recent years, cyber attackers have identified the vulnerabilities of companies at this stage, often launching attacks as soon as a public announcement is made. Just from the beginning of the year, we dealt with three companies that belong to this status.
