Glocal is an interdisciplinary 18-month graduate program offered by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. We translate academic research into a practical understanding of community development - an approach empowering communities in need across the world to prosper and succeed. Glocal offers theoretical knowledge inspired by a global perspective and practical local solutions. Glocal cultivates a new generation of practitioners equipped with cutting-edge theories and expertise while comprehending and engaging with the challenges facing marginalized communities. Established in 2010, the Glocal Program is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Hebrew University. Placed in one of the world’s 100 leading social sciences faculties, the program is taught in English and offers diverse courses.

השבוע ערכנו את המפגש הראשון של המחזור הראשון של תכנית המלגות שלנו! אחרי תהליך ארוך ויסודי, בחרנו את חמשת המלגאיות והמלגאי שלנו שהפגינו לאורך התהליך כישורים יוצאי דופן, גישה והשקפת עולם מורכבת ומעניינת על עולמות הפיתוח הבינלאומי והסיוע ההומניטרי. והכי חשוב- שועדת המלגות חשבה שהיא רוצה לראות אותן/ם כחלק מקהילת סיד בהווה ובעתיד. מעבר למלגות הלימודים, חשוב לנו לייצר רשת עמיתים חזקה , ולרכוש ביחד כלים מקצועיים ואישיים שישמשו אותם/ן בעבודה בפיתוח בינלאומי וסיוע הומניטרי. התארחנו לכמה שעות במשרדי הרצוג בתל אביב בהן הכרנו, למדנו על עשיית עסקים ככלי להשגת יעדי פיתוח בינלאומיים מ Ayelet Levin Karp, ונפגשנו לשיחה מרתקת עם Yaniv Gelnik,מייסד GSD Africa שחלק מנסיונו העשיר בהטמעת פתרונות טכנולוגיים לאתגרים במדינות שונות באפריקה. בשבועות הקרובים תוכלו להכיר מקרוב את מקבלי המלגות של SID-Fellowship כאן ואצלנו באתר, וללמוד עוד על מי הם/ן, על מסלולי הלימודים שבחרו, ועל תכניותיהן/ם לעתיד. תודה מיוחדת ל Janet Pahima-שארחה אותנו, ול Yaniv Gelnik שהגיע למפגש והעשיר אותנו בידע שלו.
