4.11.95 29 שנים אחרי, ואנחנו לא שוכחים את רבין. גם לא שוכחים את הרצח הנתעב של ראש ממשלה על ידי מתנקש. רבין ראה בביטחון ישראל משימה ראשונה בחשיבותה. הוא ניסה להביא את השלום, אך לא מתוך נאיביות או חולשה - שלום מתוך מקום בו ישראל חזקה, יכולה להבטיח את ביטחונה ואזרחיה חשים בטחון, ולצד זאת - אויביה יודעים כי נעשה כל דבר אפשרי ומעבר לכך כדי להגן על עצמנו ויש לנו את האמצעים והיכולת לעשות זאת. התעשיות הביטחוניות הישראליות, בראשן התעשייה האווירית, ממשיכות את חזונו של רבין: אנחנו מייצרים אמצעים טכנולוגיים מתקדמים להגנה, מקדמים חדשנות ישראלית ויוצרים מקומות עבודה איכותיים עבור החברה הישראלית כולה. בדרך ליצירת ביטחון, אנחנו גם מחזקים את התשתית החברתית והכלכלית שמעצבת את עתיד המדינה. מפעם לפעם, כשרבין היה בדרכו מירושלים לתל אביב, היה עובר כאן, במתקני התעשייה האווירית ואומר ״באתי לשאוף אוויר פסגות, להרגיש את המוחות הישראלים הטובים ביותר כדי שאוכל לומר לאזרחי ישראל שיש על מי לסמוך״. אם היה נכנס היום, רבין היה מוצא חברה מצליחה ומשגשגת, בהובלת המנכ״ל בועז לוי, שהוכיחה כי היא יודעת לעמוד באתגרי הביטחון מול איראן וממשיכה להצטיין בטכנולוגיה פורצת דרך. השנה מסתמנת כשנה המוצלחת ביותר בתולדות החברה, בזכות שיתוף הפעולה הפורה בין יו"ר הדירקטוריון עמיר פרץ, המנכ"ל לוי, וארגון העובדים בראשות יאיר כץ. שיתוף פעולה זה מגביר את המוטיבציה בקרב עובדי ועובדות החברה ומבטיח את המשך הצלחתה של התעשייה האווירית, כגורם מרכזי בביטחונה ובקדמתה הטכנולוגית של ישראל. למאמר המלא של שי גל SHAY GAL סמנכ״ל תקשורת ממשל וקהילה היום במעריב >>> https://lnkd.in/ewvBw6DG

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) participated in the international XPRIZE Wildfire Summit held last week at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. IAI is part of the Fire Drone team, which has qualified for the competition. The team's solution integrates two types of autonomous UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) that operate in sync. The first UAV is a detection drone equipped with advanced electro-optical sensors to identify wildfires, while the second UAV is an unmanned firefighting aircraft capable of carrying 1,500 liters of water for fire suppression. Both UAVs operate autonomously, coordinated and managed by a cutting-edge autonomous command and control system.
