It's July already! Meet Nahum Aharon, R&D Technology Manager at Kramer HQ. - Tell us a bit about yourself “I’ve been working at Kramer for 13 years. I’ve managed a software department, and today I’m working on technologies and innovations. In the last two years, I’ve initiated hackathons here at Kramer, and it’s a great way to harness our team's collective creativity to spark innovative ideas. I’m deeply invested in everything that has to do with AVoIP; I’ve been immersed in this field for years. I was responsible for the development of KDS-100 and ran the team and then the entire project of this amazing product. In my free time, I love sports. I’ve been practicing and teaching Karate for over 20 years and reached Dan 3 level. Additionally, I practice and instruct Qi Qong. I also like to hike, just take a backpack and walk. About a year ago, I took my kids on a Mont Blanc trip, and it was an amazing experience.” - What was your college major? “I studied Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.” - Describe your job in a sentence. “In one sentence? That’s impossible. It's just so diverse, and that's what's so interesting at Kramer and in what I do. One day does not resemble the other. I'm working with developers, sales representatives, technology vendors, and companies we can potentially collaborate with in future development, and I’m engaged with diverse technologies. This is very complex and intriguing, and that's what's so interesting about my job – I can see the bigger picture, both from the outside and from the inside.” - What do you like the most about working at Kramer? “This exact diversity, and the field of audio and video in which I work, is fascinating. It changes and evolves constantly, keeping you on the edge because you need to be familiar with the latest developments at all times. It's the dynamic nature of this field that interests me.” - Who would you most like to swap places with for one day? “I'm actually fine with who I am; I'm not looking to trade places with anyone else.” - What did you learn while working at Kramer? “I've learned a lot. Technology changes all the time, and I have to keep up with this pace. Working alongside a diverse range of people has been an ongoing education in effective communication—what works and what doesn't.
