Nanox.ARC found at least one occult fracture – missed on standard X-rays – in seven out of nineteen patients. Nanox.ARC provided added value to an additional ten of those patients through ruling out suspected fractures, improving fracture localization and determining fracture age. All Nanox.ARC images were also determined to be of high diagnostic quality enabling optimal depiction of findings. Recent findings reveal that over 50% of patients with psoriasis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis have detectable coronary artery calcium (CAC). In a collaboration with Dr. Ehsan Samei, Director, and the rest of the team at the Center for Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT) at Duke, we have seen promising results of the potential values of the Nanox.ARC Digital Tomosynthesis (DTS) configuration in handling patient motion, as opposed to standard linear configuration DTS systems. The study addressed various types of patient motion and showed that the Nanox.ARC configuration is less susceptible to motion- induced artifacts. Results from the trial are yet to be published.
