Did you know there’s a delicate balance between what you charge for shipping and your conversion rates? We’ve been analyzing how the ratio of shipping costs to Average Order Value (AOV) can either boost or harm your checkout performance. Charge too much, and you risk losing customers right at the final step. But if you find the sweet spot, you can keep both revenue and customer satisfaction. It’s all about understanding the correlation and adjusting accordingly. Is your shipping optimized for conversion?

Love this unexpected Groove Life WIN with PrettyDamnQuick and Gladly integration for fraudulent orders that my operations rep Amber Wright noted over the past few months! "We are so thankful for the Fraud PDQ tasks. Because of this we have been able to implement a fraudulent order workflow asking the customer to verify their information. What we didn't expect was that this workflow would also help us reduce our Chargebacks received on orders! While tracking data on chargebacks, we realized a lot of chargebacks were from fraudulent orders, and because of this we now check back on those PDQ tasks 7 days later to see if the customer has responded. IF they DO respond, we promptly reship their items. If they do NOT respond, we promptly refund their order. This seemingly small task has allowed us to significantly drop Shopify chargebacks received!"

UnderOutfit, a top quality shape wear brand is in the top 1% of fastest-growing Shopify stores. Incredibly impressive given they only launched in 2021. And we're proud to have been a part of their success! PDQ helped UnderOutfit reduce checkout abandonment by 14% (!) for first-time shoppers, their most "problematic" segment. First, the challenge: UnderOutfit was growing quickly, but they were leaving money on the table. Their total conversion rate was struggling, especially in particular segments. Overall checkout abandonment rate (mostly first-timer shoppers) was lagging, despite most orders qualifying for (and selecting) free shipping. UnderOutfit has a world-class product, and has a very high repeat purchase rate and lifetime value from its customers, but found that a whopping 77% of its first-time customers weren’t completing checkout. First time customers are also much costlier to acquire then returning customers. And to lose them at checkout is painful, as UnderOutfit has already paid the acquisition cost to get them there. PrettyDamnQuick was already optimizing UnderOutfit’s operations team and warehouse to optimize order management, streamline backorders, and enable post-checkout upsells and order edits while providing real-time delivery updates to customers. PDQ immediately got to work, A/B testing how different cohorts respond to variables like higher/lower shipping thresholds, and more expensive shipping options, and focused on what they found to be low-hanging fruit: first-time shoppers. What PrettyDamnQuick tested: ⚫ Adding an aggressive delivery promise (stops them from going to Amazon) ⚫ Offer first-time shoppers free shipping when risk of abandonment is high ⚫ General price testing sensitivity to determine the optimum shipping rates ⚫ Helping UnderOutfit keep their delivery promise to build more customer trust The results blew everyone away... 📈 +$984K increase in annualized revenues 📈 14% reduction in first time shopper abandonment 📈 Increase of 3 basis points in overall checkout conversion
