We were honored to welcome over 40+ post-exit founders from the U.S. for an inside look at Save a Child’s Heart. They heard from our Executive Director, Simon Fisher, about our lifesaving work and gained first-hand insight from Dr. Lwara from Zambia, who is currently training with us in Israel. As anyone who visits our Children's Home knows, our kids love sports! Many arrive at Save a Child’s Heart too weak to play, but as they undergo treatment and recover, we get to see them run and keep up with our volunteers and visitors. 🏀💙 This March Madness, as we watch some of the best athletes compete for the NCAA championship, we’re reminded of our mission—to give more children with heart disease the chance to play, thrive, and just be kids. Meet Leila, a resilient 16-year-old from Jab Dhurwaa, Somaliland. She is the youngest of ten siblings and traveled to Israel by herself for lifesaving treatment. Along the way, she formed deep and meaningful bonds with our dedicated volunteers from around the world.
