Historic Peace Rally Marks a Turning Point in Tel Aviv On the 1st of July, we made history at the Menora Arena in Tel Aviv. For the first time since the 7th of October, we witnessed people from all walks of life lining up, united by a shared mission—to voice a powerful call for peace. The arena was filled to capacity with 6,000 individuals determined to end the war and negotiate a deal that guarantees the return of the hostages and a future of hope for both Israelis and Palestinians. The event commenced with heartfelt speeches from those personally affected by the tragic events. Despite having their worlds turned upside down during these nine months, they bravely stood on stage to advocate for peace, demonstrating that a different path is indeed possible. They were followed by an inspiring lineup of faith leaders, artists, peace activists, young voices, and public figures, each echoing the urgent need for reconciliation and change. The gathering marked a historical step towards uniting the Peace Camp in the pursuit of a political agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. It's time. Time to secure a deal that brings our hostages home and puts an end to the ongoing bloodshed in the region. It's time to forge a new path towards peace. Working around the clock, building foreign relations, meeting with ambassadors, welcoming delegations visiting the country, and participating in panels worldwide - All this to spread our message: a demand to end the war, return all hostages, and immediately begin serious talks to end the conflict. The Mothers' Call, which we wrote together with the Palestinian movement, Women of the Sun, has been received with appreciation and respect around the world. Here are some of the events in which we participated recently: ▪ Meeting with the SMD delegation of the European Union  ▪ Meeting with a delegation of British Parliament members. At the Munich Security Conference held this weekend, a two-part event took place under the title "Prospects for Peace in the Middle East." In the first part, the Israeli Foreign Minister was interviewed, while in the second part, the Jordanian Foreign Minister and the Vice President of the European Commission were interviewed. Dr. Yael Braudo-Bahat, co-director of Women Wage Peace, asked a simple question: Why are there two separate conversations here - and where are the women and civil society? Listen to the question, the response from moderator Christiane Amanpour, senior CNN anchor, and the answer of the Jordanian Foreign Minister. How unfortunate that the Israeli Foreign Minister does not support our message like his Jordanian counterpart.

One year ago today, thousands of Palestinian and Israeli women came together to demand a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a rally organized by Women of the Sun and Women Wage Peace. For their tireless efforts to achieve peace through a gender lens, the two organizations jointly received our Justice for Survivors award at #TheAlbies last week. Meryl Streep, who presented the award, said that “it is precisely in those times of darkness that we need that light that these women, and people like them, carry inside them.” (Photo Credit: Greg Williams)

We are thrilled to share some highlights from an inspiring reception at the German Embassy in Tel Aviv, held just before the "It's Time!" Israeli Peace Camp Event on July 1st. This special gathering brought together diplomats from around the world and featured some of the peacebuilders who played a key role in the main event. The reception underscored the critical role that the diplomatic and international communities play in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of global solidarity and cooperation in our pursuit of peace, justice, and equality. It was filled with meaningful conversations, bridging diverse perspectives, and reinforcing our collective commitment to a peaceful resolution. Our heartfelt gratitude to the German Embassy for hosting such a memorable event and to all the diplomats who joined us. Your support is invaluable in amplifying our message and driving change.

Secretary Hillary Clinton met with us and the Palestinian Women of the Sun in a virtual meeting. The meeting was part of the Global Women Leaders Summit held in Italy last month and was attended by other prominent leaders from around the world, such as Monica McWilliams, who participated in the Northern Ireland peace talks, former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark, Ambassador Melanie Verveer, former Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin, former Australia Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and more. In the meeting, we presented our movements, our partnership, our activities, and our joint Mothers' Call to end the cycle of bloodshed and reach a political agreement for the sake of our children's future. We received much encouragement and support from all the participants, especially from Secretary Clinton. The meeting emphasized the critical role of women on both sides of the conflict in bringing unique perspectives, unwavering determination, empathy, and collaborative solutions. The international interest in our partnership proves the significance of our activities, and the partnership with Women of the Sun shows that even in the darkest times, we can and must strive for a better future.

Take 17 minutes and watch this fascinating and moving discussion between Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, an Israeli and a Palestinian. Both lost loved ones and from their mourning and pain they decided to do everything possible to end the conflict and the cycle of bloodshed.
