🗣️Vote of no confidence - statement from Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce Government must maintain focus on political stability, says Chamber The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce Board says that Government must not lose focus on the importance that political stability plays in maintaining the Island’s status as an international business centre. The business network says that this must continue to be a priority because it has always been an essential element of the Island’s economic success story. In a statement the Chamber Board said: “As with all offshore jurisdictions, the Isle of Man faces a range of challenges which need to be addressed to ensure continued economic growth. Political stability remains the foundation of a strong economy, so this must be the top priority for government.” The statement was issued in the face of the recent announcement this week of a vote no confidence in the current Chief Minister and as the Island still faces strong headwinds in terms of economic growth, cost and size of Government and the funding of Manx Care.
