Rising star claims victory in 2024 MFX End to End Walk. The 2024 MFX End to End Walk proved to be a memorable event and congratulations to everyone who took part, with more finishers reaching the Sound than for many a long year. Callum Gawne, won the race in a highly impressive time of 6hrs 27min and 24secs. Lorna Gleave defended her title in the women’s event, in 7hrs 29mins and 26secs. MFX Managing Director, May Hooper, a regular End to End entrant, was part of this year’s winning team (All Walk, No Action), along with Lorna & Julie Stanfield. Thanks to our official starter, the five-time End to End winner John Cannell, who flagged the race away from the Point of Ayre lighthouse. The Governor of the Isle of Man, Sir John Lorimer, an entrant this year, made it to the Peel checkpoint. This was the second year of a three-year sponsorship agreement that MFX agreed with the race organisers, the IOM Veteran Athletes’ Club. Race Secretary Tony Mackintosh and his brilliant team of organisers were the reason why this year’s event went without a hitch. The 2024 MFX End to End Walk culminated in a well-attended prize presentation evening held at The Vagabonds Rugby Club in Douglas. See you all for the 2025 race!
