GDC 2024: Nvidia Reveals DLSS, Ray Tracing and Reflex Updates for Star Wars: Outlaws, Black Myth: Wukong and More

The annual Game Developers Conference or GDC, the event known to boost the game development industry, is just around the corner and it is scheduled to commence on March 18, 2024. Ahead of GDC 2024, Nvidia has a bunch of announcements to share with the players, which include 'DLSS', 'Ray Tracing' and 'Reflex' updates for several recent and upcoming titles, including Star Wars: Outlaws and Black Myth: Wukong, learn more about all of their announcements below.

Black Myth Wukong and Naraka: Bladepoint Nvidia DLSS 3.5

Starting with Black Myth: Wukong and Naraka: Bladepoint, both of these titles will be receiving DLSS 3.5 upgrades, which is the latest version of Nvidia’s upscaling technology. Through DLSS 3.5 and features like Ray Reconstruction Technology and Full Ray Tracing, we will see the two titles receive massive quality and performance enhancements. Black Myth: Wukong will be released globally on August 20.

Star Wars Outlaws to Launch With DLSS 3, Ray Tracing and Reflex

Coming to Star Wars: Outlaws, the next open-world, action-adventure by Ubisoft and Lucasfilm set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Nvidia has partnered up with these two companies to provide a “definitive PC experience” for the upcoming Star Wars game. The title will include DLSS 3, Ray Tracing and Reflex at launch which will allow the GeForce RTX GPUs to “enhance graphics, accelerate performance and make gameplay even more responsive.

Portal with RTX DlSS 3.5 Update is Available Now

Portal with RTX is the first title that has been built with Nvidia RTX Remix, which is a tool that helps modders remaster classic titles. Through Portal with RTX, the players get to experience the game with fil ray tracing or path tracing. Portal with RTX had Nvidia DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Ruper Resolition at launch. Now it will feature Ray Reconstruction technology and Path Tracing with the help of DLSS 3.5.

Diablo IV Ray Tracing Update Scheduled for March 26

On March 26, Diablo IV will be receiving an image quality upgrade that will bring ray-traced effects as well as accurate and realistic reflections for armour, water, windows and other suitable reflective surfaces. Shadows will be enhanced with Ray Tracing to provide a more detailed scene to the players. Also, the system latency for the title has been reduced by 67% making it the most responsive it has ever been.
