Dawn of the Planet of the Apes virus added to Plague Inc
Those dirty apes will be the death of us.
An update to Plague Inc will add the Simian Flu from the upcoming film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
The update will let you toy with the lab-created virus, attempting to create a global pandemic while the public also has to deal with a race of genetically advanced apes. As the virus infects and harms humans, it improves the cognitive abilities of the apes. The update will also allow players to time ape attacks, or move them to avoid detection or experiments that could harm their chances as the new dominant species.
The update is said to be coming "very soon" for PC and Mac. The Xbox One version, Plague Inc: Evolved, will receive it in a future update as well.
"When I was making Plague Inc. (as a hobby) 3 years ago--I was watching the previous film Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the end credits scene gave me inspiration for Plague Inc. (it features a disease slowly infecting the world)," said creator James Vaughan. "Crazy to think that Plague Inc. is now big enough to work directly with the film’s sequel!"
Plague Inc received a positive review from IGN for the "exhilarating (in a grim way)" fun of simulating human extinction.
