All India Food Processors’ Association (AIFPA) is pleased to announce the launch of the First “Food Safety Award 2024 ” to recognize the FBOs who excel in maintaining Food Safety and Quality standards to ensure the health of the consumer within and outside the country .The award aims to recognize and encourage excellence in food safety practices within India’s food processing sector . In this regard 1st AIFPA Food Safety Award Jury meeting was held on 22nd October 2024 at India International Centre, New Delhi with our eminent jury comprising of Shri G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, IAS, Chief Executive Officer,FSSAI Publication Mr. Anil Jauhri, Former CEO, NABCB,Quality Council of India(QCI) and Sh. Sanjay Dave, Former Chairman, Codex Alimentarius Commission FAO. The other jury members namely Dr. JP Dongre, Dy. AMA, Ministry of Food Processing Industries , Dr. Sunil Bakshi, Advisor NDDB National Dairy Development Board & Dr. Sudhanshu, Secretary The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), could not attend the meeting due to exigencies. Jury members present in the meeting appreciated the start of AIFPA Food Safety Award 2024 and shared their suggestions and inputs for evolvement of this award . The senior AIFPA members from the food industry present in the meeting also welcomed this award and shared input to drive it with simplistic manner for more participation from MSME. Dr.Subodh Jindal, immediate past president, AIFPA welcomed the members with his opening remarks along with importance of Food Safety for human health. Kajal Debnath ,Chairman North Zone, explained in detail the AIFPA Food Safety award and sought the suggestions from the jury and the other important participants in the meeting. Mr. Krishna Joshi, Chairman T&FRAC Committee, AIFPA elaborated the objective of launching this award and acknowledging the efforts made by MSME Business Operators for ensuring Food Safety. Mr. Ankur Sangal , Director URS Holdings - Testing, Inspection, Certification (Offical Page), Food Safety Partner of this award has appreciated launch of this award and shared URS commitment for the same . Dr Raghav jadli, President AIFPA was not available to attend the meeting however has been relentlessly providing guidance and support for launching this award. AIFPA is sure that this noble initiative will enhance Food Safety competitiveness among Indian Food Processing sector for future business growth.
