"I knew it wouldn’t be easy to juggle both my CA career and my passion for music. In fact, it was difficult. There were times I had to put music on hold because the demands of my CA preparation were so intense. But once I cleared it, I knew I had to come back to my first love—music. Competing on Telugu Indian Idol Season 3 brought me back into the world of music with complete focus. My journey with music started when I was just 4 years old. It was my grandfather, Kasim garu, and his sister, Fatima garu (whom I lovingly call Nani), who introduced me to this world. Nani enrolled me in Carnatic music lessons, and from my grandfather, I learned the nuances of cinema music. Music runs deep in our family. My grandfather was a singer for the legendary Ghantasala garu, and his admiration for him has never faded. For the past 47 years, he has been honoring Ghantasala garu’s memory by observing his death anniversary in our village, Tadepalligudem. There’s even a statue of Ghantasala garu in our village, thanks to my grandfather’s efforts. Growing up in such an environment, I couldn’t help but be drawn to music. The first time I performed on stage, I realized that music wasn’t just a hobby for me—it was my calling. When people appreciated my singing, I knew I had something special to offer. Getting selected for Telugu Indian Idol Season 3 has been a huge milestone for me. Performing in front of Thaman sir, Geetha Madhuri ma’am, and Karthik sir was an honor. Every week, my goal was simple: give my absolute best. Their feedback, along with the lessons I’ve learned from my fellow contestants, has transformed me as a singer. I’ve seen clear changes in my singing and ability, and I owe that growth to this incredible opportunity. If there’s one message I have for aspiring musicians, it’s that there’s no secret to success other than practice. You may not get an opportunity right away, but persistence is key. Never stop practicing, because the right opportunity will come when you least expect it. I wouldn’t be here without the support of my family. My younger sister has been my strong support, especially after my mother passed away a year ago. Losing my mother was the lowest point of my life. She was my biggest supporter, whether it was in music, studies, or life in general. After her passing, my sister took on that role, helping me through the toughest times. I couldn’t have come this far without her. Recently, I received an opportunity that felt like a dream—singing for Pawan Kalyan garu’s movie 'OG.' I couldn’t believe it when I got the call. My first playback song, composed by Thaman sir, for such a huge project was a surreal experience. Those two days in Chennai, working under Thaman sir’s guidance, were unforgettable. Looking ahead, my goal is to become one of the best musicians in the industry.
