Incredibly proud of this!
🌟 Thank You, Beast Philanthropy, Mr Beast, Darren Margolias and Jacqueline Fernandez! 🌟 We’re thrilled and grateful to have our work showcased on the Beast Philanthropy YouTube channel, reaching a global audience and shining a light on our 30-year journey of empowering, educating and mentoring vulnerable children, youth, and women across 40 cities in India. ❤️🌏 A special shoutout to Darren Margolias and Jacqueline Fernandez for visiting one of our Udayan Ghar (sunshine homes for at-risk children without parental care) and spending time with our children. The Udayan Ghar Program provides children without parental care a nurturing, family-like environment with quality education, physical and mental well-being, skills training, and job opportunities. 🏠👩👧👦✨ Our Udayan Shalini Fellowship Program, across 36 chapters, ignites a spark in young women, helping them pursue higher education and employability skills, ultimately strengthening their families and communities. These young women grow into confident, dignified individuals who build stronger futures for themselves and those around them. 🌸 #ADreamComeTrue: Jacqueline also wore a dress crafted by our talented alumna, Sheetal Udayan, inspired by the iconic designer Alexander McQueen. Jacqueline shared, “You made me feel really good. It makes one feel very powerful wearing this.” This stunning piece is up for auction! https://lnkd.in/gCZP64Pb Every bid helps fund education, mentorship, and life-changing opportunities for young girls in India. 🎨👗💫 We’re deeply inspired and thankful for this global recognition, and it pushes us to keep doing our very best for the children and youth we serve. 🙏 📢 If our work resonates with you, please share this film and help spread our story! The upcoming Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC) in Bogotá, Colombia, from November 7-8, 2024, presents a landmark opportunity for governments and global stakeholders to commit to protecting children from all forms of violence. But this opportunity will only be realised if children in all contexts are considered. We 100% support this. Similar to this demand of inclusion, we also appeal to the Narendra Modi NITI Aayog Official to make special provisions for #careleavers who need support in health insurance, especially those without the support of a family. Udayan Care Kiran Modi Max Life Insurance Company Limited LIC DEEPAK SHARMA
We appreciate the government for including all senior citizens aged 70 and above under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)! While this is a commendable step, we urge the government to extend similar health coverage benefits to people with disabilities, irrespective of income and age. Despite the AB-PMJAY scheme, disabled citizens often remain excluded due to restrictive criteria, leaving them without critical healthcare support. Access to essential healthcare is a fundamental right, and we appeal for inclusive policies to secure a healthier future for all. As part of our #AyushmanForAll campaign, we’re closely engaging with the disability community to understand their experiences and challenges in accessing health insurance. The responses so far reveal a significant gap between disabled individuals and accessible healthcare, with limited intervention from policymakers to bridge this divide. The form is still open, and we encourage you to support our #AyushmanForAll campaign by sharing your experiences. From leading a successful internet marketing agency to driving social change at Udayan Care, Anjali Hegde's journey is one of purpose and transformation. Inspired by her early exposure to healthcare challenges in rural Rajasthan, Anjali's commitment to giving back grew over time. After years in the corporate world, she found herself longing for something more meaningful. ILSS provided the tools, insights, and community to fuel her transition into the social sector. As Anjali shares, ‘I needed to get out of the for-profit mindset. The ILSS Leadership Program prepared me to look at things differently.’ Now, as executive director at Udayan Care, she is deeply invested in empowering vulnerable children and continues to learn and grow with ILSS. Here’s Anjali’s inspiring story and how she is shaping change for the future: https://lnkd.in/gt-56WSx Anu Prasad | Archana Ramachandran | Meghna Jaishankar | Simran Gupta | Monica Hemrajani

Unlearned Minds, Unstoppable Potential: Reflecting on our transformative visit to Rajasthan! Our trip was more than just a journey; it was an incredible opportunity to witness firsthand how collaborative efforts can change the lives of children staying in Child Care Institutions, as well as those transitioning out of institutional care. The robust child protection mechanism on institutionalization in Rajasthan left us truly inspired! 14 senior state and district child protection government officials from Bihar, UNICEF teams, and Udayan Care came together to explore innovative child protection programs on Family-Based Alternative Care (FBAC) and Aftercare, engaging in fruitful discussions and site visits that opened new pathways for enhancing the Aftercare and Foster Care programs in Bihar. Over the course of three enlightening days, we: Day 1: Gained valuable insights into the Rajasthan Department of Child Rights' comprehensive child protection program, focusing on FBAC and Aftercare initiatives Day 2: Engaged with the Care Leavers Inner Circle Forum, highlighting the importance of strengthening the State Care Leavers' Network. The visit to the Child Resource Centre provided insights into the relevance of institutionalizing state capacity-building programs on child rights laws, schemes, and programs Day 3: Explored the effective Foster Care program in Udaipur and rehabilitation initiatives by CCIs, CWC, and DCPU at the district level, with a strong emphasis on education and family integration A heartfelt thank you to the incredible teams in Rajasthan for sharing their expertise and passion for child protection and Aftercare. Together, we are paving the way for a brighter future for children in need!
