Teaching Training Programme in Astronomy conducted by IAU - Office of Astronomy Education (OAE) Center - India hosted by RSCP Calicut. This three day training program was quite an experience.Research with faculty from institutes like Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Homi Bhabha Center For Science Education (HBCSE), NCERT, various IITs and NITs, which are India's premier astronomy and astrophysics institutions. This opportunity we got to interact with the individuals and attend their classes was great from the start. The entire session lasting from 9.30 am to 8.30 pm was scheduled as sky watching, teaching learning materials making, planetarium observation and discussion session which kept everyone engaged. The main agenda of the program was how we as science teachers should create a scientific temper and how we as teachers should change it. Also worth mentioning is the planetarium staff who conducted this training program. Their humble and friendly behaviour helped many people like us to be active there. especially, Planetarium Director General Jayant Ganguly Sir. He is an incredible person. All in all this 3 day training program ended today with some new friends, acquaintances and good new knowledge.
