It is typically used in symmetrical component analysis, where the system is simplified into positive, negative, and zero sequence components to analyze the behavior under fault conditions. Engineers apply appropriate C factors for each sequence component to accurately calculate fault currents at different points in the system. The C factor is specific to the system being analyzed and is determined based on the system configuration, including the impedance of transformers, cables, and other components. Using the correct C factors is essential to ensure the reliability and safety of the electrical system. ⭕ Voltage Factor The voltage factor c is used to scale the equivalent voltage source in calculations, adjusting for system voltage variations. This factor is also employed to compute impedance correction factors.
