This International Women’s Day, we celebrated by sparking conversations that matter — stories of resilience, inclusion, and empowerment. At the heart of these discussions was the power of perseverance and breaking barriers. Our keynote speaker, Wing Commander Navdeep Parmar (Retd. Indian Air Force), took us on a journey of breaking barriers and redefining possibilities. Reflecting on her early training days, she shared: "Resilience is not about never falling, it is about knowing someone will be there to lift you up when you do." Her powerful message urged women to challenge outdated norms, embrace courage, and lead by uplifting those around them. In an insightful fireside chat, Dr. Rahul Kalia, CHMO, Bosch India, highlighted the importance of deep, meaningful connections: "Relationships can build you or break you. Taking care of yourself is the first step to nurturing strong connections." Vidya Chandran, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Tata 1MG spoke about the strength in seeking support: "Resilience is knowing when to ask for help." Adding to the discussion, Pratiksha Shukla, Counselling Psychologist, RBIN, reinforced the power of empathy: "Sometimes, simply saying 'I hear you' can make all the difference." Our leadership panel comprising Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited, Karin Gilges, Executive Vice President, Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Bosch Limited and Dr.-Ing. Hüseyin Özmeral, Executive Vice President Manufacturing and Quality, Bosch India, took to the stage to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace. Strengthening our promise to inclusivity, we introduced three progressive policies — supporting associates with disabilities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those impacted by HIV, and two initiatives that would assist female associates at Bosch to advance in their respective careers — Intentional Career Pathing (tailormade for mid-career women) and AccelerateHER (workshop for managers to break their internal biases and foster enhanced inclusivity and support at the workplace). As we celebrate these inspiring stories and milestones, our commitment remains steadfast to build a workplace where everyone belongs, thrives, and leads with confidence and passion. What connects Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from India to a temple in Tokyo?   When we met 56-year-old Ashish Gore, Vice President, Sales, Independent Aftermarket India at Bosch Limited, we found a man of many layers. He moved through conversations with the ease of a Japanese spring, punctuating silences with the intensity of Cambodia’s towering temples. More than a storyteller, he is a historian, a cultural archivist, and a biographer of the common man. For as long as he can remember, Ashish never caught the travel bug—it had been chasing him since his school days. When work took him to China, he never imagined a short stint there would spark a flourishing literary career. His soul-searching journey led him to the outskirts of Shanghai, where an unexpected camaraderie with a farmer awakened the storyteller within him. Ashish’s literary journey began on Facebook, where his vivid accounts of China’s people and history caught the attention of media houses, including Sakal, a leading Marathi newspaper that featured his anecdotes in its Sunday supplement. From the quiet charm of a Chinese wedding to a chance encounter with a Gandhian traffic cop from Norway, Ashish’s feed soon overflowed with stories from around the world—fueling his desire to share them widely. His debut collection, जग फिरता फिरता: भटकंती अनप्लग्ड, was published in Marathi by Rasik Publications in 2017 and later translated into Hindi (आँखों-देखी...: अनप्लग्ड) and English (Globetrotting Unplugged…) in 2019. “My fondest memory is the book launch event in Tokyo. One story mentions the Renkō-ji temple, believed to hold Netaji’s ashes. It opens just once a year in August, and I had the rare privilege of launching my book during that ceremony, thanks to the kind people of Tokyo. Looking back, this was when I truly began to count my blessings.” “Whenever I write, I write bearing the belief that I am trying to make a new friend. Across the vast expanse of India’s rural heartlands, communities are plagued by various socio-economic barriers that often stunt progress. In response, Bosch India Foundation, in collaboration with local Gram Panchayats, sparked a movement for change by establishing Community Development Centres (CDCs) across 4 different states — Bidadi in Karnataka, Chennai and Gangaikondan in Tamil Nadu, Jaipur in Rajasthan, Nashik and Pune in Maharashtra. These centres are not just creative spaces, they are lighthouses for communities teetering on the edge of advancement. Going beyond providing access to government schemes to offer skill-building initiatives, health awareness programs and e-services, the centres harness a blend of technology, training, and collaborative spirit, to mold more families in the image of self-reliance and sustainable growth.
