BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) are a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure Limited and Govt of NCT of Delhi with a 51%:49% shareholding. BSES discoms, together, supply electricity to two-thirds of the national capital. Spread across a geographical area of around 950 sq kms, the company supplies reliable electricity to over 4.2 million consumers, covering a population base of over 10.6 million in South, West Delhi, East and Central Delhi. Since inception, BSES has taken a lead in adopting the best in class technologies and successfully brought down the losses from more than 55 % in 2002 (at the time of privatization) to the current level of below 9% - a reduction of over 45%. Today, BSES operates and manages one of the most advanced distribution networks in India to deliver reliable and quality electric supply to customers spread across its service territory. Solar on Wheels: BSES Surya Rath Drives Delhi Towards a Greener Future In a major step towards promoting sustainable energy solutions and supporting India’s larger decarbonization goals, BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) has launched the ‘Surya Rath’ – a comprehensive consumer awareness initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of Rooftop Solar (RTS) in Delhi. Flagged off recently by Amarjeet Singh, CEO BYPL, in the presence of officials from GIZ, EEREM, and Ahasolar, the Surya Rath marks the start of an extensive outreach program designed to educate and engage consumers on the financial, environmental, and practical benefits of going solar. The Surya Rath is a mobile solar awareness vehicle, equipped with informational materials like banners and flyers. It will travel across key residential and commercial hubs in East and Central Delhi, bringing solar literacy to the doorstep. The campaign includes focused RWA engagement, outreach in public spaces like malls and metro stations, and door-to-door interactions on installation, incentives, and net metering. This initiative reflects Delhi’s commitment to scaling up renewable energy capacity, reducing electricity costs, and building a clean, resilient energy ecosystem. Celebrating Everyday Heroes: BSES Concludes National Safety Week with a Tribute to Linemen BRPL and BYPL have successfully concluded the 54th National Safety Week (March 4–10), reaffirming BSES’ unwavering commitment to safety. Thousands of employees and associates enthusiastically took part in a week of impactful activities and workshops across all divisions. The culmination ceremonies—attended by senior discom officials, including BYPL CEO Amarjeet Singh, BRPL CEO Abhishek Ranjan, and BSES CHRO Prasad Patki—honoured our remarkable linemen, whose dedication ensures seamless power distribution. Fifty-eight top‐performing linemen across the two discoms, were recognized for their exceptional safety achievements. Joined by their proud families, these linemen received well‐deserved appreciation, underscoring their critical role in upholding workplace safety. All participants reaffirmed their commitment to a safe work environment by taking a safety oath. The ceremonies also showcased a year‐round overview of safety initiatives and presented awards to various BSES divisions for outstanding safety records and competition victories during Safety Week. At BSES, the emphasis on safety goes beyond this week—it’s an everyday mission. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for making safety a living priority and ensuring reliable power supply for our communities!

Celebrate Strength, Resilience, Womanhood BSES had the honor of welcoming the dynamic and inspiring participants of the WePower SAR 100 2.0 program from across India for an immersive day during their three-day visit to Delhi from 8th to 10th March 2025. These remarkable women are poised to be future leaders in the energy sector, making the engagement truly special. A heartfelt thank you to our Chief Guest, Sh. Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA, who, along with other esteemed dignitaries Dr. Tripta Thakur, Director General, NPTI, Ms. Tanushree Bhowmik, WePower Partnership Coordinator - The World Bank, and Ms. Alka Khurana Sharma, Ex Army Officer, graced the event with their invaluable insights and stories of resilience. The day was spearheaded with a welcome address by Dr. Prasad Patki, Group CHRO - BSES, followed by a visionary address from Sh. Amal Sinha, Director & Group CEO. Sh. Ghanshyam Prasad delivered a special address that was both inspiring and forward-thinking. One of the most exciting highlights for BSES was the honor of having the BSES People Practices video unveiled by Sh. Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairperson, CEA. Participants gained valuable insights into advanced monitoring, automation, and Energy Battery Storage systems, crucial for grid stability and efficient power distribution. The day concluded with felicitations of the WePower SAR 100 participants, celebrating their achievements and contributions to our industry. Special thanks to Dr. Suresh Srinivasan for his inspiring session. His energy was truly remarkable, injecting a surge of enthusiasm into all participants. BRPL and BYPL have signed strategic MoUs with TERI to accelerate renewable energy integration, smart distribution technologies, and energy storage solutions in Delhi’s power sector. They were signed by BRPL CEO Mr Abhishek Ranjan, BYPL CEO Mr Amarjeet Singh, and TERI Director General Dr. Vibha Dhawan in the presence of BSES Director and Group CEO Mr Amal Sinha. Senior officials from BSES and TERI were also present on the occasion. This three-year collaboration aims to enhance sustainability, improve operational efficiency, and drive consumer-centric advancements. Key areas of focus include innovations in integrating Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) into the grid, advancements in grid-scale energy storage systems, electric vehicle integration, smart grid technologies, digital twins, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning applications, energy efficiency, and demand-side management. Building on past collaborations like UI ASSIST and the Energy Wise Energy Rise Program, the MoU also emphasizes capacity-building programs for stakeholders, including project developers and financial institutions, government bodies. Together, BRPL, BYPL, and TERI are committed to powering a greener, smarter, and more resilient energy future for Delhi, ultimately benefiting consumers with reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible energy solutions.
