Building a Real Connection with Farmers: The Heart of Bull Agritech "Home delivery karte ho bhai?" This might sound like a funny question, but it came from a 55-year-old farmer in the Radhanpur region of Gujarat, trying to understand one of our value propositions. What he meant was, "Will you buy my material from home?" The perks of interacting with your customers include understanding their "real" problems. As startups, we often assume the needs of customers and end up building non-practical solutions. We at Bull Agritech call it the "Messiah Paradox"! Creating an agri-tech brand that truly resonates with farmers is about more than just tech innovation—it's about understanding their world from the ground up. Whenever we go into the field, we make sure to have our meals with the farmers at their homes, sit with them, and understand the problems they want to be solved. Sometimes, these interactions turn into heated debates among farmers, each with their own perspective. But that's the beauty of listening to your customer—you get multiple viewpoints on a single problem. Agriculture is deeply embedded in cultural and social contexts, and understanding these aspects is crucial for navigating local norms, practices, and barriers to adoption. One memorable instance was when our co-founder, Divyajeet, was conversing with a lady who was skeptical about selling crops from home. Her companion wittily remarked, "Imagine if you go to the local market to sell the crop, you'll have to stand in line for at least 4 hours, and then selling it would take another hour. You're not sure about the price you'll get, but here you only sell when the price is fair, and you save those 5 hours of your life!" Divyajeet was stunned listening to this, and honestly, these are the moments we work for. Bull Agritech, building for the India that truly deserves it.
