It was a great pleasure to host Roland Busch, President & CEO, Siemens AG in India through a very engaging week with customers, colleagues, partners and government meetings. Everyone we met were extremely positive about India’s growth story and we heard plans for substantial expansion in Capex by all our customers and the government. The progress on the ground was visible as we drove through 3 cities in 4 days and saw the amazing amount of construction work being done. Roland articulated the growth strategy of Siemens AG and how Siemens can combine the real and the digital to create a real impact, with Siemens Xcelerator being one of the biggest opportunities for our customers. He stressed Siemens' commitment to India built on the strong manufacturing and software base that already exists in Siemens in India. We were also able to introduce Roland to some of the key initiatives that we are working on in the areas of digitalization as well as our CSR initiatives in the areas of education and skilling. He met some beneficiaries of our CSR programs and was visibly impressed as he heard their stories and interacted with them. In a power-packed hour-and-a-half session of “Unplugged live”, he met with over 400 colleagues and answered questions about geopolitics, technology & Siemens strategy. The highlight this year for our C&S colleagues was a visit by Roland to their facilities in Noida, Delhi and his very complimentary remarks to C&S for the great work that they are doing. Thank you, Roland, for taking the time to visit India and for your continued support always to Team India. Your visit has been a huge motivation and we look forward to seeing you again!
