💡Suicides preparing for IIT JEE - 11 cases (Kota) already in 2024! ❓Why do they happen? ❓What is the root cause? ❓What can we do to address this? ✅This is one of the reasons Careerwala was opened. Thrown in situations that challenge our personality attributes shatters us and pushes us to take extreme and bad choices. ❌Choices could range from committing suicides, murders, go missing, fighting with peers, fighting with parents, violence, theft, and multi more issues. ❌Basically, they will tend to avoid these situations as their personality attributes, preferences, and behaviours are not aligned to the pushed paths. ⛔Low EQ Scores impacting your careers? 🥊High Neuroticism means low EQ Scores! 🌏A lot of research has gone in to analyse impact of neuroticism personality trait on careers. It has been concluded that a career success doesn’t depend on neuroticism. ➡️However, we feel that neuroticism is very critical factor in someone’s stability and its impact on other personality trait in the OCEAN framework. For instance, if you stay angry and agitated all the time, you won’t be able to think and act logically in pressing circumstances. ➡️If you feel low in the absence or presence of internal/external stimuli, you tend to be less enthusiastic and excitement seeking in social set ups impacting your extraversion and agreeableness personality trait. If you are unable to respond properly with a sound mind to external stimuli, you don’t fit in careers that require situational leadership including but not limited to defence services, merchant navy, police services, civil services, politics, consulting, sports, and many more. It doesn’t matter what your other personality traits are. In these professions, you need to be outstanding in your neuroticism scores. ➡️If you make “Rye Ka Pahad” aka “Mountain of the mole hill” you tend to respond at a higher impact than required to external stimuli. ❓Career success? ❓How do people consider themselves as successful in their careers? ❓What does success in their job means to them? ❓What does success in their career means to them? ❓What kind of successes are there? ❓On what traits these successes depend largely on? ➤Boiling questions but we will calm down these questions with research backed hypothesis. ➤There are two types of professional successes: 1. Objective 2. Subjective ➡️Objective in turn can be classified into organization success, career success, and financial success. ➡️Subjective can be classified into job success, interpersonal success, hierarchical success, financial success, life success, and career success. ❌We wouldn't dive deeper in these elements as they are self explanatory what they could mean to you. 📶What is more alarming here as how few personality traits influence these successes more than others based on research and testing done on individuals. ✅Income+Subjective Career Success and Neuroticism are negatively correlated. It means high on neuroticism will lead to low incomes. It is not counter intuitive too as lot of organizations conduct EQ assessment for the same reason. ☑Subjective Career Success is positively correlated with conscientiousness. This is also pretty much practical. The more organized, responsible, punctual, disciplined, and goal directed you are, the better would be your career growth and success. ✔Job success, hierarchical success, and life success are positively correlated with extraversion. It is inevitable that attributes that make you extrovert can positively contribute to your job role success as backed by senior management. Additionally, extraversion helps you to show certain social skills that contribute to your successes as mentioned. ❌There is no correlation between agreeableness of the personality and successes. 🆒Hence the two most important and non negotiable traits that can impact your career outcomes are neuroticism and conscientiousness. 🎤Make you sure to build this in your kids!
