Job Opening - C++ Programmer Number of positions: 1 Project description: The first project involves maintaining and enhancing C++ and Python codebases for large-scale public transit routing that are used in city-scale travel demand models. (see https://lnkd.in/d35XTrSB for examples). The initial appointment will be for one year (with a probation period of two months), extendable based on performance and funding. Salary will be based on educational qualifications and experience. Eligibility: A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, along with hands-on experience in the professional development and maintenance of software applications. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with researchers to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications or software architecture. Design and implement unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. Profile and optimize code components. Build datasets and pipelines using open-source transit data. Automate manual tasks to streamline software development processes. Pre-requisites: Strong background in data structures and algorithms, particularly graph algorithms. Strong programming skills in C++. Competitive programming experience is a plus. Candidates with OpenMP and CUDA programming skills will be preferred. Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills (Sphinx and Doxygen). The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed highway and infrastructure drawings using Auto CAD & Civil 3D software, collaborating with project engineers to produce accurate plans, sections, and details for road and transportation projects, and ensuring that all drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications. Candidate should have the following qualifications: General: ⚡The stipend for students with/or pursuing a bachelor’s degree is Rs. 15,000 a month, and for those with/or pursuing a master’s degree is Rs. 20,000 a month.
