At the India Parts Distribution Center, Phaltan Megasite, our Health and Safety Associate, Bhagyashri Zirmile, makes her brisk rounds on the shop floor. She has a clear mission: to ensure that every employee should ‘Stay Safe and Go Safe.’ Bhagyashri joined Cummins in India in 2011 and became one of the first women Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) Operators, despite never having driven a vehicle before. Attributing this achievement, and many more, to the leadership team, she continues to confidently navigate a journey of growth and fulfillment. We are delighted to announce that Cummins India’s Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) has received the coveted Type Approval Certification from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI)! This certification confirms the product's compliance with stringent emission standards and reinforces its credibility as a clean air solution. The RECD is designed to reduce Particulate Matter emissions by an impressive 70%, as per the Systems and Procedures Standards (<800 KW) set by the Central Pollution Control Board for CPCB-I and CPCB-II Gensets. Post accomplishment of the certification milestone, we are excited to officially launch the Cummins RECD which will be marketed as Retrofit Aftertreatment System (RAS).
