Ever since Radios were invented and popularized in the early 1900s, 'experts' have been claiming that this will be the end of conventional schooling and classrooms. We saw the latest version of this claim with the ed-tech boom which also failed to replace teacher led in-person schooling. This begs the question, is it really possible to replace human beings with machines for information transfer? Especially in today's time and age when we have so much information available all around us. Teachers are not just mechanisms for knowledge transfer, they are mentors, facilitators, councellors, innovators, developers, role models, evaluators, mediators, researchers and so much more. A teacher can and has changed the lives of their students completely, inspiring them to not just to excel academically, but to become better human beings. They act as a beacon of hope and light in the students' world of chaos and competition. Their guidance shapes our future and their impact lasts a lifetime. In the last decade, we have generated an exponentially increasing volume of data. For context, data generated globally in 2010 was 2 Zettabytes (1 ZB = 1 trillion GB or 10^21 bytes) and in 2022, we have generated 97 ZB of data. That's an increase of 4,750% in just 12 years! 🚀 With rapid advancements in AI technology and adoption, this will only continue to grow. This exponential growth highlights the need for advanced data analytics to make sense of this vast ocean of information. This was a primary driving factor for us while starting Datastride Analytics. As me Divya Krishna Ramakrishna and Sumalata Kamat were creating the framework, we foresaw that accelerating data analytics will be essential and this should be our primary goal. With the results that we are seeing with our AI platform - Sia, I can confidently say that we have achieved the goal.
