Quinoa is a Seed of a Plant Chenopodium Quinoa. It is Cultivated in the Andean Mountain Regions of South America for more than 7,000 years. Quinoa is grown in India now. We process, pack and sell. Quinoa grain is suitable to replace Rice or Wheat as healthy super food. The market for Quinoa is at an early stage. We started in 2013 sowing quinoa in India while the retail market price was around Rs.2000 kilo for the imported and stores were selling only a few kilos. Now in 2017, we sell at almost the lowest price compared to others at Rs. 598 per kilo. There are several people in market now and hundreds of farmers producing quinoa across India. Several tons of the product produced by Indian farmer is available for domestic and export market. Malayalee Quinoa Porotta made with Indian quinoa is a first in USA Indian market.
