PYP Art Exhibition The PYP Art Exhibition was a vibrant celebration of creativity, where learners showcased their artistic expressions across different units and techniques. Through this exhibition, students demonstrated their understanding of how art connects with the world around us, reflecting on their personal experiences and the meaningful ways art can be integrated into everyday life. Early Years learners shone by embracing the “Play-Way” method, exploring various techniques, and experimenting with mixed media. Their artworks reflected joyful exploration, curiosity, and self-expression through hands-on learning. This playful engagement allowed them to discover how different mediums can convey ideas and emotions. The exhibition beautifully captured the diversity of artistic journeys across grades, with each piece revealing the unique insights and interpretations of the students. Grade 7 successfully organized a Fun Fair on Friday, 4th October during lunchtime, as part of their service project to raise funds for the upcoming MYP trip. The goal of this project is to support villagers by donating essential grains and plants. We were delighted to see students from across the secondary school attending and enjoying the Fun Fair. Thanks to their participation. Grade 7 raised Rs 5,650. Last week Primary held a Parent Coffee on How We teach Science and Social Studies. The workshop included what we teach (the standards), how our subjects are aligned with expectations in MYP and DP, as well as hands-on experiences on HOW we teach. Our Early Years team at École Mondiale World School had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Crescent Model Higher Secondary School in Karachi, Pakistan, as part of their inquiry into the unit on stories. The children were eager to explore how festivals are celebrated in different cultures, and we were thrilled to share the story of Navratri, a vibrant festival celebrated in India. We discussed how we celebrate Navratri at our school, focusing on its traditions, the meaning behind the festival, and the joy it brings to the community. The exchange of stories allowed both schools to explore the richness of cultural diversity, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of different traditions. Battlelaureate 2024 Battlelaureate is an annual event hosted by École Mondiale World School where students from several grades and schools come together to participate in various activities and competitions. Whether it be athletic competitions, creative activities, or team-building games, it is a diverse platform of events that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and healthy competition as well as the development of new skills. Grade 6 students of Product Design began to explore the possibilities of creating their ideas using timber. Students were shown the start and set up of their workshop process. The use of a wood bench block, Tenon saw, table vice and G clamps were demonstrated. Students then prepared to measure, mark and cut lap joints. Last week we celebrated Tech Week in the Primary, giving students a chance to explore thinking skills in ways related to technology. Tech Week isn’t a novel idea, but at École we go one step further.
