Reflecting on an Inspiring HR Regional Meeting, Oct 2024 in Malaysia: A Journey of Learning, Connection and Growth. Recently, We had the incredible opportunity to attend a highly productive and enriching HR Regional Meeting in Malaysia, where Naveen K J, Aruvel Kumar from Elitez India and HR leaders from across Southeast Asia, including teams from Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia gathered. This gathering was not just about discussing business strategies and recruitment techniques but was also a platform for deepening our understanding of one another, appreciating our cultural differences, and forging stronger bonds as a unified regional team. Strengthening Connections Across Borders: The HR Regional Meeting was an opportunity to connect with colleagues from different countries who, despite being spread across Southeast Asia, share similar goals, challenges, and aspirations. It was fascinating to gain valuable insights into the unique approaches each country adopts based on their local work culture, government policies, and labor markets. Recruitment Training: Gaining Expertise from Industry Leaders A significant highlight of the regional meet was an impactful "High Performance Team Building" session led by the incredible Mike Walmsley. His insights into modern recruitment practices and client acquisition strategies were invaluable. Team Bonding Activities: Strengthening Relationships for Better Collaboration: Team bonding was another crucial aspect of the event. Beyond the formal sessions and meetings, we engaged in several team-building activities and Dinner get-together. Business Sharing: Learning from Each Other’s Successes and Challenges During the meeting, we also had the opportunity to engage in business sharing sessions, where each team presented their successes, challenges, and strategies. The Importance of Future Regional Events: This HR Regional Meeting was a powerful reminder of the value of coming together as a regional team to share ideas, learn from one another, and build stronger relationships. As businesses continue to expand across borders, these types of events will become even more important in ensuring that we remain aligned on our goals, strategies, and values. We left #Malaysia feeling inspired, energized, and more connected to our regional colleagues than ever before.
