Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the EY PAS Forum 2024 for the second time, and just like last year, I returned with a wealth of new perspectives and learnings. As a Human Resource professional, this event was not only a fantastic platform to network but also to dive into the ever-evolving world of HR Regulations, AI, Gen AI and many other interesting topics.   What made this year even more impactful were two thoughts that have really stuck with me:   ✅"Protect the process and spirit of the policy." This resonated deeply because, as HR professionals, we often focus so much on adhering to the policies and it was a good reminder to stay true to the essence of why the policy exists in the first place.   ✅"HR is the custodian of the policy, not the owner." This shifted my perspective entirely. As custodians, we ensure the integrity of the policy, but viewing ourselves as 'owners' could lead us to make inconsistent exceptions. A powerful takeaway that has reshaped my approach!   The forum was an incredible experience, filled with valuable insights from pioneers in the industry. While my team might dread the flood of ideas and discussions I’m about to bring back to the table (sorry, team! 😄), I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned to elevate the work we do.   A big thank you to Rama Karmakar, Ajit Kamdar for the invitation and to everyone who made this event so insightful.
