How do you get tested for TB? If you or your doctor think that you may have TB, the first step is usually a chest X-ray. What happens if you have an X-ray but no radiologist to read it? FIND is supporting the development of Computer-Assisted Detection tools that can read images as a means of filling the diagnostic gap.

We are happy to share that results from a pharmacy channel market activation pilot conducted with our partner SwipeRx were recently published in PLOS ONE. The study demonstrates the potential of the pharmacy channel in making COVID-19 self-tests more accessible in Vietnam. Pharmacy professionals trained through the pilot showed significantly greater confidence in stocking, dispensing, and counseling clients on self-use Ag-RDTs. By the end of the nine-month engagement, 92% of trained professionals stocked at least one quality-assured self-test, compared to just 29% of untrained professionals. These findings highlight the power of the pharmacy channel in expanding access to critical diagnostics. Karishma Mutreja and Anabel Gomez https://lnkd.in/dHxhM6Sp
