We thought our project was doomed, and I took the biggest risk of my life! The shooting team scheduled to film with Neeru Bajwa canceled at the last minute, leaving us without a crew. Now, if you don’t know who Neeru Bajwa is, imagine Shahrukh Khan, but for the Punjabi film industry. She’s a legend, and unlike many, she’s stayed relevant for over 25 years, with no male counterpart even coming close. We’ve had the privilege of being her fitness partner for the last two years. Since she was in India for her upcoming project, I asked her if she could collaborate with us on a film, and she graciously agreed, sharing her dates. Everything was set. But then, just a day before, the shooting team we hired backed out. We thought the project was over. That’s when I took a leap of faith and decided to shoot the film myself. With Sahil, Vishal, and Neeru Ma’am’s help, we wrote the script, asking her how Fitelo played a role in her fitness journey. I asked my teammate Aman to rent out the cameras and equipment.
