While I was partying with my students, one of them got placed at Deloitte !! Partying with students ? Placed at Deloitte ? What are you saying Harshit ? 🤔 So, last Sunday, I planned a small party cum meet-up with my Delhi NCR students of SUPER-15 (haan haan whi batch jisme I train 15 students for Finance Jobs and Internships) Well, I have always told my students that Work Hard, I will make sure that we will Party Harder !! So on Friday, they worked for 6 hours continuously at night working on Practical projects on Company profiling and Financial Benchmarking for one of the biggest Private Equity clients of the world.. They were tired, they were drained, their eyes were red, they had sleep in their eyes 😣, but you know there one more thing which was there- It was extreme level of satisfaction that they completed one of the hardest and technical projects (which will add a lot of value to their resume). ❤️ and as promised, we had a small party and get together on Sunday, where we played UNO (I didn't know how to play it; don't judge me please), danced like there is no tomorrow, had some amazing food, and and and to make our day even more special, I got a call from one of my students, Kumar Jay Dibya, telling me that he got a job offer from Deloitte This is our 5th offer which we have cracked in the Big 4 firms !! It made me believe in my approach of training students even more. Gone are the days when Finance used to be all about seriousness. Study full-heartedly and Party full-heartedly !! 😎 🔥 PS: Also, the gates for the next SUPER-15 is open !! Not for all - Only for super hungry and crazy people !! Comment "SUPER-15" below or DM me to get the scholarship cum test form link.. PPS: I will cover Jay's approach of cracking Deloitte in my upcoming posts. PPPS: My students in frame: Aishlisha - Teaches me the gen-z stuff Sanya - My Dance buddy (can't match her level though) Harshit - That's Me Nishita - My Dominos bestie Disha - My Big4 gossip buddy (she is in EY, so we have a lot to gossip about) #finance #super15 #jobs #big4 #placement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

These finance questions are asked in 90% of finance job interviews !! My previous post received a lot of responses about the most frequently asked questions in core finance job interviews (IB, Financial Analyst, PE, VC) ✅ So, here is the list of Top 30 questions: 1. Help me run through the line items of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, or Cash Flow Statement. 2. Difference between Depreciation, Amortization, and Impairment 3. What is the format of a DCF Model? (Entire format) 4. Why is Depreciation and Interest deducted in a DCF Model?  5. Which one of the two (EBITDA or EBIT) is actually the Operating Income and Why? 6. In case of capital-intensive businesses which one is considered while comparing two companies (EBITDA or EBIT) 7. What is the difference between a Company Profile and a Company Teaser? 8. What are the different methodologies to find out the value of the company? 9. When a company is pre-revenue, how will we calculate the value of the company? 10. What is CAPM? 11. While calculating EV from Equity Value, why do we add Minority Interest? 12. While calculating EV from Equity Value, why do we deduct Cash & Cash equivalents? 13. What is the difference between Financial and Strategic Investors? 14. In case of startups, what is the best way to find out the value of the company & why? 15. In an Industry analysis report for a company, what items would you include in the INDUSTRY OVERVIEW section? Yayyy !! Now, I will clear all the interviews (Job pakki ab to !!) Wait a second.. This is just 20% of the preparation. The remaining 80% lies in: 📍 Knowing the correct answers to these questions along with strong fundamental knowledge of Finance 📍 How you communicate those answers (it does matter how you answer along with what you answer) 📍 Understanding the reasoning behind them so that you can answer the connected question to the main question That is why I never give answers to these questions to my students directly. I build their fundamentals first, teach them the application side and then teach them how they have to answer these questions. PS: Promoting my next SUPER-15 batch by writing only 15 questions in this post😌 Haha, just kidding 😂 PPS: Next 15 questions will be in the next post !! Stay tuned... 👉 Also, if you want me to help you build your finance foundation & make you a super strong candidate for finance jobs, comment "FINANCE" or DM me (I train only 15 students, because it is SUPER-15 🔥) #finance #interviews #jobs #financejobs #questions LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

I cleared The D. E. Shaw Group Interviews with these 5 skills !! 📍Cram your Resume Mark my words - Most of the interview questions will come from your resume only, so be familiar with everything you’ve written (even the timelines of your internships, projects, etc.) Pro tip: Even if you have exaggerated something on your resume (jo sab karte hai), deep dive and be ready to explain it properly 📍Prepare for Relevant and Common questions properly (Both Technical and HR) For HR - Walk me through your profile, Why do you want to join this company, Describe a time you showed your leadership skills, etc. For Technical (specifically for finance) - Help me run through the line items of Balance Sheet, Income Statement, or Cash Flow Statement, What is the format of DCF model, etc. 📍 Only speak about what you are really sure of Don't just brag about knowing everything. If they ask you about something you are not aware of, accept it subtly, rather than answering wrong altogether. 📍Have Questions ready for the Interviewer at the end Never ever say 'NO' to the question - "Do you have any questions for us/me?" Here are three questions which will work in all the cases: -> What does a typical day look like in this role? -> How has your experience been at the company? -> What are the company's expectations for someone in this role? 📍 Be Ready for a Small Talk During the first few minutes of the interview, the mood of the conversation is light. Take up the opportunity to create a healthy and positive vibe. If they ask you general life or family questions, carry that conversation positively rather than giving boring replies. PS: If you want to know the most asked Finance questions, do let me know in the comments. I'll make a separate post on it!! My CV got selected in 99% of the companies!! Know how- Most companies now use their own automated systems to screen the CVs and a major chunk gets rejected because of some major blunders. Here's how I made sure my CV gets through most of the biggest companies like KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Citi, and many more- 📍 Use Relevant and Job Related Keywords -> Make sure to include the skills and words that the job description asks for. It makes a huge difference! 📍 Include your Portfolio links -> Include links to your work, whether it's projects, articles, or a portfolio. You can miss the chance of working with your dream company if you miss this one. 📍 Quantify as much as you can -> Use numbers and action verbs to quantify your past experiences. Example - Created 20+ company profiles for companies of renewable energy sector 📍Give your CV a Proper File Name -> Example- ❌Resume_Harshit (7) ✅Harshit_Bansal_Resume 📍 Customize your CV for each Job -> Don’t send the same CV everywhere (Effort kroge, tbhi khuch hoga). Adjust it according to the job role. 📍 Highlight Important Skills or Words Make sure to bold the key words that match the job description to grab attention. 📍 No Errors please Proofread your CV multiple times. Even a small typo can hurt your chances. I've already made a detailed post about this whole CV drama! I'm attaching the link in the comments, so check it out. PS: Incase you have more doubts or need guidance feel free to drop them in the comments or DM me🙌 #resume #big4 #jobs #internships #CV LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

How I easily cracked KPMG during my campus placements? I know companies have started visiting your campus for placements or might be visiting in a month or so. Darr lag rha hai? Clueless ho? Nervous? Don't worry, it's fine to feel so and if you will do the pre-planning like I did, the journey will be much easier.. Here are my major DO's and DON'Ts that helped me plan my placement season- DO's :   ✅ Stay Updated on Industry News: Prepare for industry-specific news and topics for Group Discussions (GDs). ✅ Prepare for Basic Interview Questions right now: Prepare answers to questions about yourself, your academics, extra-curricular activities, the company, Internship experiences etc. (jb pta h ye aane hi wale h, so why not to prepare them beforehand) ✅ Organize Your Documents: Make sure all RELEVANT DOCUMENTS are in order and easy to access. (Ek drive me CV, Experience documents, Aadhaar Card copy, and certificates stored rakho) ✅ Attend all Pre-Placement Talks: I know PPTs are boring at times but be smart and try to take out the important pointers about the company and their needs from the talk and use them in the interviews. ✅ Practice Mock Interviews: Do mocks with your friends or mentors to get comfortable with the format and possible questions. ✅ Take Care of Yourself: Sleep well, eat well, and stay hydrated before interviews and tests (Beemar shakal ko kam score hi milta hai). DON'Ts : ❌ Ignore the CV Format: If your placement cell has a specific CV format, stick to it. (LinkedIn bhaiya ka format off-campus me use krenge; abhi bhul jao) ❌ Don’t Be Late: Always be on time for interviews, aptitude tests, and GDs. (Being late only create regrets for later) ❌ Don’t Dress Casually: Wear professional clothes which suit the company’s culture. (First impression is the last impression; haan sach baat hai ye) ❌ Don’t Talk Bad About Anyone: Avoid saying negative things about your college, professors, or any past experiences. (Job milne ke baad milkr bitching karenge 😁) ❌ Skip Networking: Connect with alumni or seniors who have gone through the process, they can give you some really good insights. If you still have time and feel like you're not fully prepared for your campus placement, stay tuned for my next post- I've created a 1-Month Campus Placement Strategy to become ready for this placement season within a month. 👉 If you have any company specific doubts, seek any interview related help, feel free to 'drop them in the comments' or 'DM me' #jobs #interviews #placements #big4 #campusplacement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

As a Finance Professional, mai ab chup nhi rha skta !! BIGGEST SCAM REVEAL !! Bahot ho gya drama, now- Let's talk about the biggest scam happening in front of our eyes and we are totally blank about it !! (Dhyan se padh lena, agar bachna hai to) Finance, Investment Banking, IB, Analytics, etc.—we all know how fancy and in-demand these courses are nowadays, right? but that is exactly where the scam begins Have you lately been noticing some "same template based posts" created by big creators on LinkedIn, stating something like this- "I failed at XYZ company interview/opportunity ... but I knew skill enhancement was necessary. So, I updated my skills and became a Certified Investment Banking blah blah blah After that, I got my job (mostly name of a Big4/Big3) with 2x salary You can also do that, register here - Contact this person - XYZ" Kuch yaad aya? (but Harshit, isn't it just another influencer marketing done by the company through influencers; ye to sab karte hai aaj kal, to ye scam kaise?) Well, I agree that it is part of influencer marketing done by the company, but the scam is that- 🔴 Most of the creators posting about it are not even Core Finance Professionals or IB Professionals 🔴 They are making false claims that they got their job because of that certification 🔴 Scariest part - Some creators have 0 (ZERO) relationship with Finance, and sometimes even with Commerce itself 🔴 The course is not free and have fees over INR 10k. So, aisa nhi hai ki only time is at stake 🔴 Such creators haven't even checked the course quality themselves (karenge bhi kaise, IB ka idea hi nhi hai inhe) I have to raise my voice now because- a lot of students fall into the trap of such posts and they blindly trust the creator that they will also get a job easily with 2x salary, just after this certification (just like magic) These creators and companies have no idea where the student will get the money from, and in most cases, the students pressurize their parents to pay for the course 😞 So, I want to appeal to all the students and creators: For students: ✅ Please check the profile and actual work of the creator before buying such courses ✅ Please confirm whether that person has actually done that certification or not ✅ No. of followers or Big 4/Big3 ke jhanse me mat aana ✅ Only a few CAs work in IB, to sirf CA tag dekhkr trust nhi krna hai ✅ 70-80% of the comments are fake, so do not trust them blindly as testimonials For creators: ✅ Check the details of the course and the company in depth before promoting it (students ka career and life stake par hai, please be careful) ✅ Agar apki field nhi hai, to dhakke se promote mat kro (Zomato ya Flipkart ke collab ki tarah nhi hai ye) Let's make smarter decisions from now and don't fall for such scams !! In case you feel even 0.1% doubtful about any opportunity, DM me (verify mai kr dunga :D) #scam #finance #jobs #internships #influencer #fake LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

Tier-3 college students cracked offers from Tier-1 companies !! My exclusive SUPER-15 students shines yet again !! We have cracked 2 more major offers this summer season: -> Aayushi Gupta - Strategy and Growth Intern at Grant Thornton Bharat LLP -> Tanya Priyadarshni - WSO Middle Office at S&P Global ✅ My Tier-1 and 2 college students cracked some offers already (check my last post) but tier-3 ones were scared: -> Tier-3 college hai, koi badi company kyu hi hire karegi? -> Upar se Sales or Marketing roles hi milte hai unhe bass 😞 -> LinkedIn par success stories dekhkr, self doubts badh rhe hai bss I still remember my first SUPER-15 call with Aayushi when she told me that she is now scared of even opening LinkedIn because everyone is achieving something and how tier-3 college students are almost in trouble !! Well, while the world was saying that college matters to get a good offer, I was firm on my opinion that more than the college - ⭐ SKILLSET and DIRECTION matters We worked hard and that too in such a directional way that recruiters never judged them on their college and gave them offers, for the level of skills and personality that they hold!! 👉 Not just that these companies are one of the best companies in the world but at the same time, the roles they have got are highly exclusive and holds importance. I am feeling like a proud mentor, guide, friend, and brother once again !! ❤️ All those who feel like they have got a setback in career because of any reason, trust me, nothing is impossible. Compensate your weakness with something stronger - companies need talent, not your college !! 👉 PS : If you are someone, who is ready to give their 200% and want to build the strongest profile and skillset for the core Finance space - Check the link in the comments or DM me. #finance #jobs #internships #college #placement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

E. Shaw Group, WeAce, TMT Finance, Gallagher & Mohan, NTT DATA, ZS, RegisterKaro, Evalueserve and SG Analytics INTERNSHIPS cracked at - EY, Zomato, oll.co, SG Analytics, Coinbase, and multiple startups (All core Finance, Founder's Office and Fintech roles) ⭐ My batch stars - -> Roshni (cracked 2 offers, joined EY) -> Tishita (got core finance role at OnGrid) -> Nishita (got core Investment Banking Internship offer and Founder's Office role at OLL) -> Sreyashi (cracked Consultant role at ZS even after coming from tech background) -> Akanksha (cracked Deloitte even after having music background) -> Disha (cracked job at EY) -> Aayushi (cracked NTT DATA), -> Shreya Jain (cracked TresVista) -> Garima (cracked 3 internship offers - EY, Zomato, and Grant Thornton Bharat LLP) -> Sneha (cracked offers from 2 startups in Founder's Office in WeAce) Looks fancy !! Top tier colleges ke honge !! Placement guarantee di hogi pakka !! 😏 But in reality, I never offered them placement guarantee. They were able to do this because of - ✅ 200% efforts everyday (100% mine, 100% theirs) - Sleepless nights, Classes, Projects, Tests, and Internship work for 2-3 months. ✅ Practice, Practice, and Practice (Books ke beyond, sirf company work ki practice) - I still remember one HR from SG Analytics telling that even my fresher students are ready for Sr. Analyst work . ✅ Craziness and Hunger to reach goals and learn more and more (hunger chaiye, rest I will see). ✅ No spoon-feeding expectations (1st day pr hi I make it clear, I won't spoon-feed). ✅ Belief in the process and me (I will never let that trust break if you're true to the process). ✅ Always followed rules and never made excuses (busy bhi hai, to bhi kaam karenge, at any cost). ❤️ SUPER-15 is my family and seeing them successful today, I feel like a proud brother, mentor, friend, guide, and buddy. 👉 PS : If you are someone, who is ready to give their 200% and want to build the strongest profile and skillset for the core Finance space - Check the link in the comments or DM me. #finance #jobs #internships #big4 #results LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

Job Descriptions are scamming you !! Read this before applying to any job now… Baki scams kya kam the, jo ab job description me bhi scam aa gya 😢 But fear not, I won't let any of you fall in this trap.. 👉 Let's understand what JD scam is all about? A JD Scam is when recruiters use very fancy and non-directional job descriptions and titles to attract the job seekers. Mostly in cases of: "Banking Relationship Manager" or "Wealth Management" - Hota ye sb SALES work hi hai !! 👉 How to Spot this RED FLAG? (koi to red flag spot karna seekh jao ab) -> Vague Job Titles/Positions - eg. Analyst/Associate -> Vague and Fancy Job Descriptions 🔴 Driving higher product and channel penetration to deepen mapped relationships and to increase wallet share - (Sounds fancy na? Sales hi hai ye 😬) -> Making the job seem related to finance or consulting through use of words like banking, money, strategy, etc. -> Using buzzwords like "HNIs" or "B2B clients" to hype it up. 👉 The psychology behind people falling for JD scams -> MBA grads (mostly Finance major), often seek prestigious roles to justify their degrees, majors and career choices. -> Pressure to succeed and secure a GOOD JOB. (The pressure of Bachelors ke baad to MBA kar lia, pr MBA ke baad kya karunga) -> Seeing a bank's name and assuming that it's a finance role (Bank me saare kaam finance related nhi hote) 👉 Tips to Avoid such Scams -> Research the company on Glassdoor. (If you see 'I was tricked' comments, be alert then). -> Ask specific questions about daily tasks and targets during interviews. -> Network with existing employees (haan bhai insider's information nikal lo) -> Trust your Instincts please; If something feels off, it probably is. -> If you see a post and feel doubtful about it, Mention me in the comments and I will help you with the company and role screening. Also, beware of fake job ads on LinkedIn.
