Indians now have a major achievement to celebrate, and that is: THE COMPLETION OF 25 YEARS OF MUNDRA PORT ❤️ (For those who are not aware of it, read till the end!) As an Investment Banker, I have always been keenly observing Indian infrastructure projects and their growth. To some, it might seem like just another port, but let me clarify: MUNDRA PORT IS SPECIAL because it is- 📍 India's first private port 📍 The largest container port 📍 The largest commercial port 📍 Handles 33% of India's Cargo traffic 📍 Contributor of ₹2.25 lakh crores to the nation's GDP (since inception) 📍 Home to ₹70,000 crores of Investments so far It began its journey as a small jetty, and today it stands as one of the world's leading ports. 🔥 As an Indian and a finance professional, I know Mundra Port has been a game-changer for India, contributing not only to the country’s economic growth but also creating thousands of jobs. Thanks to the vision of Mr. Gautam Adani, the Chairman of Adani Group, under whose leadership this port has grown for over 25 years and I’m sure it will continue to play a key role in shaping India’s future. Were you aware of all of this before? Do let me know in the comments #25yearsofMundraPort #india #adani #mundra

Last words to the world by Mr. Ratan Tata - "Thank You for thinking of me" Even during the last moments of his life, he stood kind, polite, and humble to the world. The loss is big but the memories and learnings he has given us, are way bigger!! My biggest question to world - How can we say a goodbye to a legend because LEGENDS LIVE FOREVER !! #ratantata

2 days of motivation, and fir whi purana unproductive routine !! 😔 Try to remember the last time you watched a motivational video, and must have created your favorite time table for studies or work. But we all know this energy lasts only for 1-2 days and we come back to the old routine saying- "baith rha hu, par dhyan nhi lag rha" "kuch der baad dimag me kuch nhi jaa rha" Relatable?😅 Then, this is what you have to understand and work upon: 📍Sit, even if you can't focus  I know it might sound like a torture but this is super impactful 📍Surround Yourself with Positivity Hang out with people who encourage you, not with the ones who just waste your time 📍Don't take Stress of the Stress Whenever we are in stress of not performing well, we end up having even more stress that we have stress in our life also.  Atleast handle the 2nd one.  Couldn't understand, READ AGAIN !! 📍Find a Growth Buddy  Find someone to check on you regularly about the progress you have made and he/she will report the same to you. Apply all of these and wait to see the magic !! PS: If you think you have wasted your previous years of you college or professional life, then don't worry. I'm working on something exciting for finding your GROWTH BUDDY. Stay Tuned❤️ Feel free to drop a message in case you need any help #students #youtube #career #growthbuddy #college LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

Along with your studies, you MUST EARN MONEY !! Check how I did that- Here are the top ways with which I earned some money as a college student, and you can do that too with these 5 sources- 📍Competitions I took part in a lot of competitions across the DU circuit. Not only was it fun, but many of them offered huge cash prizes too. I earned more than 1.5 lakh rupees in 2 years, just from the competitions. You can earn around 20K to 60K in a single season (Yes, even competitions have a season too, mostly from January till April) 📍Internships Internships are a great way to make money while gaining some real world experience. It's a win win situation, trust me. (Lekin bhaiya, yha unpaid ni mil rhi aur aap paid ki baat kr rhe ho 🥲) - Ye alag problem hai, will create a new post on that. 📍Freelance Work You can work as a content writer, graphic designer, video editor, etc. and earn some good money using your skills. -> If you don't have much skills, you can do assignments and projects of international students (check websites like EssayShark, Fiverr, etc.) 📍Tutoring I’ve always loved teaching, and this passion led me to start my own venture. If you are good in studies, you can teach college or school students (try to get students from the same locality or check online platforms to teach) 📍Write Reviews  Many companies and websites pay for your honest feedbacks. But don't do it just for the sake of doing it and don't misguide people. There are multiple platforms which offer real money for writing reviews on colleges, companies, destinations, etc. (eg. Collegedunia) But remember, while making money is important (and let’s be honest, we all love money), it’s even more important to focus on building your skills first. When you have solid skills, money will follow naturally. PS: Run after skills, not money. Trust me, it pays off in multiples !! 👉 PPS: Earned the money?? But what to do with this money??  Don't worry, I'll be posting about where to invest this money in my next post. Because the best skill is to MAKE MONEY from MONEY. If you are earning through any other legit source, please do add those in the comments and help each other. #college #finance #money #tips LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

5 harsh truths of career (which no body's gonna tell you) 📍 No 9 to 5 will get you everything you want. Time to start a side hustle   📍 Success is 30% talent and 70% being at the right place at the right time (and knowing the right person) - Network today as much as you can 📍 That fancy title on the LinkedIn profile won't show the sleepless nights and the burnout behind it 📍 Education or a degree won't guarantee a successful career (start running for skills rather than degrees/certifications) 📍 You'll spend years chasing stability, only to realize that careers are full of ups and downs no matter what PS: One bonus reality check for all- Sapne dekhna achi baat h, pr unko leke baithe rhena, ye to shi nhi h !! 😌 #corporate #jobs #career #reality LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

Is joining Big 4 actually worth it? Let's get a little practical now- There’s a lot of buzz around about the work culture, toxicity and pressure in the Big 4 And naturally the first question that arises is - Is it really worth it? As someone who has worked at KPMG, I’d say, YES, IT IS WORTH JOINING I know it’s very sad, whatever has happened at EY. That incident really broke my heart. But now what?  Should you stop aiming for these companies? Let's be a little practical and don't forget what these Big 4s offers- 📍Mass job opportunities for the freshers (even for tier-2 college students) 📍100% sponsored studies for exams like CPA, CFA, ACCA, etc. (The actual fees is in lakhs. Majority of us can't afford it ourselves) 📍Proper training is provided from scratch (startups do not give such trainings) 📍Personality development (I mean it when I say, the culture and environment builds a 2.0 version of your personality right from the beginning)   📍Networking potential with the brilliant minds of the industry 📍Acceptance in many other big companies too because of the brand value I have said it many times that a big brand name is not the only parameter but make sure to consider other value additions while making a choice Yes, there are challenges in working at a Big 4, but when you look at the broader picture, the benefits and opportunities far outweigh the negatives. In every workplace, there will be ups and downs. Not promoting the bad culture (which can be there even in the startups) but can't let you leave opportunities just based on certain events. What's your say on this? Let me know in the comments !! #Big4 #EY #KPMG #experience #jobs LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

90% of the resume gets rejected because of these 5 Resume Blunders !! If you want to increase your chances, here’s what you should avoid: 📍 Not checking the formatting You might be thinking, "Ye Harshit kya bol rha h, ye sb cheeze kon dekhta h?" but trust me, things like below really matter- -> Font Style (consistent throughout); -> Size (same for headers, same for body content); -> Alignment (keep the gridlines open while building your CV); -> Spacing (remove double spacing), and; -> Spellings (do a spell check before finalizing) 📍 Not Customizing your resume for each job Make sure to adjust your experiences and skills to match what the job requires - Check the job description and modify it as per the major keywords 📍 Not using the right keywords and not Quantifying your work It’s important to use relevant industry keywords, so your resume doesn’t get filtered out by their systems. 📍 Too much of Unreasonable Quantification Many students over-quantify every single action (even for society work 🙄) like "increased efficiency or productivity by 5%". Though quantifying is necessary but too much of it can lead to trouble as you won't be able to explain such unreasonable claims. 📍 Sending your CV with a messy file name Don’t let the recruiter see all your edits. 😂 Example: Harshit_Bansal(5) Instead, name it simple like: Harshit_Bansal_Resume. PS: If you need more help on building a CV from scratch, don't worry, I’m hosting a resume-building session next week Feel free to drop your queries in the comments and let's make a CV that every company will want to select. #resume #jobs #internships #CV #finance LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

She died at EY because of work pressure !! Job seekers, college students and employees, listen to me carefully- -> I have also worked at one of the Big 4 firms (KPMG) -> I have also trained multiple students and placed them in the Big 4 So, it's my responsibility to speak up and make things totally clear for you- 📍 A BIG NAME on your resume is good but NOT EVERYTHING 📍 Long working hours is common across the corporates but it should only be once in a while. If you feel overworked, seek help or raise concern 📍 Weekend holidays is a must. Clearly communicate it during your interviews itself 📍 If you feel, even after many attempts no one is listening to you, leave that company immediately 📍 Be careful with work relationships. There’s a difference between colleagues and real friends 📍 Being jobless is scary but way better than being in toxic job culture (always talk to multiple employees about the team, manager, and overall policies before joining) 📍 Don't blame the whole company. It all depends on your manager. I have seen happy and crying people within the same department 📍Your company can easily replace you but your family can't find any replacement for you What’s been happening lately is really upsetting, and the letter really shook me from within It’s a reminder that no job is worth sacrificing your health, happiness, life and family for. Stay strong, and always put your well-being first !! Also, an appeal to EY to take strict action against the manager and re-visit the employee culture foundation !! #Big4 #EY #jobs #CA #needforchange LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

While I was partying with my students, one of them got placed at Deloitte !! Partying with students ? Placed at Deloitte ? What are you saying Harshit ? 🤔 So, last Sunday, I planned a small party cum meet-up with my Delhi NCR students of SUPER-15 (haan haan whi batch jisme I train 15 students for Finance Jobs and Internships) Well, I have always told my students that Work Hard, I will make sure that we will Party Harder !! So on Friday, they worked for 6 hours continuously at night working on Practical projects on Company profiling and Financial Benchmarking for one of the biggest Private Equity clients of the world.. They were tired, they were drained, their eyes were red, they had sleep in their eyes 😣, but you know there one more thing which was there- It was extreme level of satisfaction that they completed one of the hardest and technical projects (which will add a lot of value to their resume). ❤️ and as promised, we had a small party and get together on Sunday, where we played UNO (I didn't know how to play it; don't judge me please), danced like there is no tomorrow, had some amazing food, and and and to make our day even more special, I got a call from one of my students, Kumar Jay Dibya, telling me that he got a job offer from Deloitte This is our 5th offer which we have cracked in the Big 4 firms !! It made me believe in my approach of training students even more. Gone are the days when Finance used to be all about seriousness. Study full-heartedly and Party full-heartedly !! 😎 🔥 PS: Also, the gates for the next SUPER-15 is open !! Not for all - Only for super hungry and crazy people !! Comment "SUPER-15" below or DM me to get the scholarship cum test form link.. PPS: I will cover Jay's approach of cracking Deloitte in my upcoming posts. PPPS: My students in frame: Aishlisha - Teaches me the gen-z stuff Sanya - My Dance buddy (can't match her level though) Harshit - That's Me Nishita - My Dominos bestie Disha - My Big4 gossip buddy (she is in EY, so we have a lot to gossip about) #finance #super15 #jobs #big4 #placement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating
