What a mind-blowing moment! 💯💯 At the COEP Mind Spark Hackathon, GDU grads and the GDU PICT Tech Team grabbed first and second prizes at the 24-hour game jam, PixelVerse. We also took first place last time 😉! So we have two more trophies to commemorate our consecutive victories! Game jams at IITs, IIITs, and AIT Pune have been won by GDU at that time and again! A huge thank you to the whole GDU PICT team for their hard work and excellence at this hackathon! To all of the competitors and winners, congratulations! We're all genuinely proud of you! ❤️❤️.

We always talk about coding, development, art, and similar topics. During these times, our team members are often busy in front of their laptops or phones. But taking a break is important. What could be better than planning a trekking trip to explore the beautiful landscapes, filled with amazing plants and wildlife?🌄🌄.

True friendship is about standing by each other, just like when we came together to host the Blender workshop at IIIT Nagpur with the incredible support of our friends from Dimensions XR and Game Dev Community . It was a successful technical session where participants learned about Blender’s capabilities and how they could apply them to their own projects. We ended on a high note, celebrating the participants of the GamdevUtopia x Defold game jam by giving out our goodies, but the real gift was the bond we strengthened through it 💯💯.

Do you think GDU is limited to design and coding? Remember that electronic music is the most crucial component of games! Have you ever wondered how games create their subtle melodies and deep basslines? They are made using Wave table Synthesizers which contain Oscilltors. Oscillators generate sound waves at specific frequencies, forming the building blocks of any electronic track. By combining different waveforms—sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth—producers can craft a wide array of tones, from smooth to gritty. Wavetable synthesizers take this a step further, allowing for dynamic wave shaping as the sound evolves over time. This technique gives electronic music its distinctive, morphing textures, enabling producers to push the boundaries of what’s sonically possible. The below electronic music was made by Aniesh Das 💯💯.

Morphogen was a game created by our first GDU PICT (2021-2022) batch as a submission for the GitHub Game Off game jam, where the theme was "bug." The game had several levels, but the butterfly level stood out for its beautiful design and enjoyable gameplay. In this level, the best way to handle conflict is by avoiding it. Press "F" to blend in with the surroundings using camouflage. However, be cautious of the frogs—they can be dangerous.
