✨️The Drive Experience ft. Urja Members✨️ 🌸As a team, we embarked on a deeply personal and transformative journey together. Thinking back to the time during our own childhoods, where talking about periods was often taboo, we were determined to change that for a group of twelve-year-olds.🤩 💕Here’s what our members have to say about their experience behind conducting a fun filled, interactive and successful drive.💕 1. Being super easy on the vocabulary 📖 We made a conscious effort to use simple hindi and terms that the young underprivileged girls could easily understand. We wanted to make sure the information was clear and relatable, without any confusion or discomfort. 2. Being extra careful 🙌🏻 Every step of the way, we approached the session with extra sensitivity. From the way we planned the content to how we delivered it, we were careful in creating a welcoming and supportive space where everyone felt comfortable discussing such sensitive topics openly. 3. Maintaining the enthusiasm 🥳 We actively worked to keep everyone involved and listening. By incorporating a fun skit during the start of the session and making it highly interactive, we helped the girls feel heard, valued and comfortable. 4. Building and encouraging empathy 🫶🏻 Our session wasn't just about hygiene and cramps. We also focused on promoting mutual support and understanding amongst the girls. We wanted to help them learn how to be supportive friends and peers. 💖🌸 In the end, it was a rewarding experience for all of us.Weeks of planning and practice felt so worth it after seeing those smiles.🌸💖 🚀We felt proud to break down old myths and create a space where these young girls could talk openly and support each other about menstrual health and hygiene.💪🏻 A huge shoutout to Gyan Adhar Welfare Society and Pinkishe Foundation. It was a pleasure to see those smiles and be a part of such an amazing collaboration. 🌻✨️ #girlup #girlupurja #offlinedrive #menstrualhygiene #breakingthestigma #periodstigma #awareness

🌸 Empowering Women Through Menstrual Hygiene 🌸 This International Women's Day, Girl Up Urja, in collaboration with the Eartha Foundation DRC chapter and sponsored by the Pinkishe Foundation, organized a pad donation drive. We distributed 500 pads in Chandrawal Village, Kamla Nagar, near the North Campus of the University of Delhi. Our mission was to raise awareness about menstruation and promote healthy practices. We reached out to underprivileged areas where access to sanitation facilities is limited, ensuring that every woman has the resources she needs for proper hygiene. Because we believe that by supporting women's health and dignity, we're paving the way for a more equitable society. Together, let's empower women and drive progress! #GirlUpUrja #InternationalWomensDay #MenstrualHygiene #empowerment
