Before we put our head back into work, we're taking a brief moment to talk about the impact that the Good Wave Foundation has created in the last year. Guided by our purpose to make #mentalhealth accessible and create avenues for #communities to rise, here's 365 days of our journey captured in our first Impact Report that captures our journey, learnings and the difference we can all make to this world. Shout out to our donors, team members and most importantly, you!

Making Evidence-Based Mental Health Therapy Accessible and Free.
About us
Born out of the efforts of an agency network & in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 which stands to achieve 'Good Health and Well-being', the Good Wave Foundation is a bold step toward making evidence-based mental health therapy accessible and free. Our goal is to touch as many lives as possible by providing an empathetic, confidential space to seek mental health support, whenever people need it, at no cost. Ultimately, we aim to bring virtual and in-person therapy services to smaller cities and towns where mental health support is hard to come by. From healthcare and medical relief facilities to de-stress workshops and initiatives targeting gender bias at work, we hope to improve the quality of life of individuals at work and beyond.

Feeling like your emotions are stuck on repeat? Emotional distress isn’t just in your head—it’s a whole-body experience. When we don’t process our feelings, they can get stored in our bodies, showing up as tension, aches, or even fatigue. From that tightness in your chest to the knots in your stomach, unprocessed emotions can weigh you down. But the good news is—you CAN let go! 🌬️ Breathe deeply: Focused breathing can release tension and reset your nervous system. 🧘♀️ Move mindfully: Stretch, walk, or do some gentle yoga to help your body release what it’s holding. 📓 Journal it out: Putting your thoughts into words can offer clarity and relief. 🌿 Get outside: Nature has a calming effect that can help ease emotional tension. 🤲 Self-care touch: Simple gestures like placing a hand on your heart can ground and comfort you. These little practices can help soothe your body and mind, allowing you to release what’s been stored within. Take it one breath, one step at a time, and let yourself be free. You’ve got this! Tag someone who needs this reminder! #emotionaldistress #emotionalwellness #mentalhealthmatters #psychology #mentalhealth

Emotions are like colours—they can be vibrant, muted, and everything in between. Yet, putting those feelings into words isn't always easy. Enter the Emotional Wheel—identify and label your emotions from “I don’t know what I’m feeling” to “I understand myself better.” #EmotionalIntelligence #SelfAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #EmotionalWellbeing #PersonalGrowth

Ever feel like your mind’s a bit like Riley’s control room in Inside Out—where Joy, Sadness, Anger, and Fear all try to take charge? Emotional awareness means letting each of them have their say without letting them take over the controls. But when it feels like they’re all talking at once, it’s okay to reach out for help. You don’t have to face those emotions alone! Let’s learn to understand, express, and ask for support when needed. #InsideOut #NameYourEmotion #EmotionalWellbeing #Mentalhealth #MentalHealthMatters

Opening up is never easy, especially for those who have struggled with it throughout their lives. When someone chooses to share, we can be supportive by listening actively and validating their feelings. Do: Be present and ask how to help. Don’t: Jump to solutions or compare struggles. Let’s prioritize empathy and create safe spaces for open conversations! #Mentalhealth #FreeTherapy #MentalHealthMatters #EmotionalWellness #PsychologySays
