CLEAN BEFORE YOU GRIEVE !! The State of Govt hospitals in India is very pitiable and concerning, sadly no one is paying attention to the health crisis in India. Most people who are admitted in the wards or ICU have to manage nursing care on their own, one of the close relatives of the patient has to stay 24×7 to administer medicine, injections , bandages and other small procedures. The rich people can hire medical attendants, but the poor are left to fend for themselves. Poor management, lack of resources and apathy forces the hospital authorities to behave in very inhumane manner with people. DATA ON THE CRITICAL SHORTFALL OF NURSING STAFF IN INDIA. Dr Shetty, a famous cardiologist in India has warned that the next medical crisis will be due to shortfall of the nursing staff. Nurses per population India has 1.96 nurses per 1,000 people, which is below the World Health Organization's (WHO) recommended ratio of three nurses per 1,000 people The WHO estimates that India will need an additional 2.4 million nurses by 2030 to meet the growing demand for healthcare services. Most Govt hospitals are just having around 30% of the nursing staff, while the beds have increased manifold. STORY:- The husband of a 5-month pregnant woman had died. After her husband's death, the government hospital administration forced her to clean the bed. The incident took place in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh.

ONE NATION, TWO LAWS !!! In India, the application of laws on the erring irresponsible Govt employees are very different than the one's which are applicable on the normal citizens. Ansals ( promoters of a leading real estate company) have been imprisoned for Uphaar Tragedy, where 100s of people had lost their lives due to non compliance of safety norms by the managers, who were running day to day management of the Movie hall in Delhi. It's very normal for the police to implicate the owners/ promoters of an enterprise which are found flouting any statutory norms / rules, which is very regressive. This norm/ laws of implicating promoters in criminal cases becomes very abusive, when a company or an enterprise has multiple factories/ locations spread all across the country, where day to day management is run by managers and staff. But surprisingly this norm of implicating the Govt off's in criminal cases, when there are deaths and accidents due to gross negligence of the Bureaucrats / Govt off's is never adhered to. In 2022, 168,491 people died in road accidents in India, BUT NOT A SINGLE BUREAUCRAT / GOVT OFFICIAL HAS BEEN IMPRISONED FOR CRIMINAL NEGLECT AND NEGLIGENCE, SAME IS THE CASE WITH DEATHS CAUSED DUE TO RAIL ACCIDENTS, ON GOVT ROADWAYS AND OTHER' FACILITIES. HOW CAN THERE BE 2 LAWS, ONE FOR THE NORMAL CITIZENS AND ANOTHER FOR THE GOVT OFF'S? STORY This video shows very unscientific placement of a speed breaker in Gurugram, Haryana, all vehicles are seen very narrowly escaping a very serious accident. WILL THE DEPUTY COMMISIONER/ SDM BE IMPRISONED ( IN CASE OF ANY DEATH OR SERIOUS ACCIDENT) LIKE ANSALS AND SO MANY OTHERS?

15 KMS EVERYDAY, WITH THESE SHOES? It can be safely estimated that over 30% of India's GDP must be going in the pockets of the Politicians, Bureaucrats and Police offs, ie approx more than 1.2 trillion dollars a year. The people of India have seen collapsing bridges, roads, airports, railway stations and now shoes of a railway track man !!! STORY:- A railroad trackman works with a crew to install new railroad tracks and maintain existing railroad tracks. This crew physically removes and replaces damaged areas of the track, replaces or repairs switches, and cuts and installs new railroad tracks. Trackmen play a vital role in the safe and efficient operation of the railway system in India. Their work ensures that trains can run smoothly and safely, contributing to the overall reliability of rail transport. A TRACKMAN HAS TO WALK 15 KMS EVERY DAY. Here A trackman is showing the quality of his shoes on the first day itself.

A COUNTRY ON THE MOVE. ? Plight of all the migrant workers should be concerning for the Govt's, it's simply not an issue of unemployment, poverty, homelessness & hunger, it's gross violation of human Rights, where a person has to work in sub human conditions, away from one's family, devoid of any love, care, affection and basic civic amenities. The inter-State migrant workmen are generally illiterate, unorganised and have normally to work under extremely adverse conditions. DATA ON MIGRANT WORKERS IN INDIA? The total migration rate in India was 28.9% in 2020-21, with 10.8% of migrants migrating for employment-related reasons. According to the 2011 Census, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh accounted for around half of the total inter-state migrants. These states have the highest incidence of poverty, and lag behind in human development. As per NITI-Aayog’s National Multidimensional Poverty Index (2015-16), poverty levels in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh were 51.9 per cent 37.7 per cent and 36.6 per cent respectively. ABSENCE OF ANY POLICY TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF MIGRANT WORKERS It is a matter of serious concern that despite being the largest migrant sending country, India has yet to have a tangible and comprehensive migration policy that upholds worker rights. The Govt's need to have an actionable policy that addresses the issue of the migrants. THE FOCUS AND THURST HAS TO SHIFT FROM THE CITIES TO THE VILLAGES, TRIBALS AND REMOTE AREAS. Mahatma Gandhi had stated, that solution to India's economic woes lies in resurgence of village economies, sadly nothing much has been done except giving food subsidies etc VILLAGES NEED BETTER SCHOOLS, SKILL TRAINING & SPORTS FACILITIES, HOSPITALS ETC. STORY:- Another year, another story of chaos & mayhem. The Govt's repeatedly have failed to provide any arrangements for the safe travel of the migrant workers during the festive season, sadly, these people donot figure in the list of Govt's priorities. Here the Indian Railway Minister is seen assuring the migrant workers, but the ground realities are exactly the opposite.

WHAT ARE THE INDIANS EATING? There's utter failure and blatant complicity of the officials of nearly all the State Govts in India concerning adulteration in food and other consumables. It suspected that over 28 % of branded food items are adulterated, and there's no data available on the adulteration of food items which are unbranded and are sold all over India, through various retailers & shopkeepers, without any packaging, ingredient or expiry details. The bigger concern is the quality of water that is used in preparation of such food items, which is highly contaminated and is sourced from highly polluted rivers and other water bodies. It's easy for the Indian politicians and bureaucrats to dismiss such concerns by attributing people's gastrointestinal resistance to adulteration and harmful chemicals, which are present in food items in India. DATA ON FOOD ADULTERATION IN INDIA India experiences an estimated 100 million foodborne illnesses each year, resulting in around 120,000 deaths. In India, food consumption is linked to many deaths, including those caused by unhealthy diets, foodborne illnesses, and food adulteration: According to a 2022 report, more than 1.7 million Indians die annually from diseases related to unhealthy diets and weight levels. The average Indian diet lacks fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and whole grains. A 2022 review by the FSSAI found that the number of food adulteration cases detected increased from 15% in 2012 to 28% in 2019. 2023 :- Unsafe food is the reason behind a staggering 600 million infections and 4.2 lakh deaths every year, G Kamala Vardhana Rao, chief executive, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) said at the first Global Food Regulators Summit 2023 STORY:- This video by an Indian news publication shows that the sweets and other food items which are being sold during this festive season are adulterated and very harmful for the human consumption.

MAKING PEOPLE HOPELESS, HELPLESS & VULNERABLE A very strange society, where people have started telling an Indian Actor Salman khan to apologise to a Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, because the law enforcement agencies are seeming helpless in providing a sense of safety & security to the people of India . Indian jails have become safe havens for all Gangsters and criminals, as they get Safety, security, comforts and facilities to run their illegal operations with the help of the Police and the Jail offs. The State of affairs are so pitiable, that the Punjab and Rajasthan police officials provided mobiles, internet connection and other facilities to this Gangster for glorifying himself, and giving long secret interviews to a journalist, when he was in police custody. Punjab police cops were also seen dancing with a few Gangsters at a party, and no action was taken against the Police offs by the Govt.. The State of law enforcement in India has fallen so badly, that offs of NIA and ED have been recently caught in cases of intimidation and extortion. Now an average citizen, especially a celebrity or an Industrialist believes that if they get a threat from some Gangster or from the officials of law enforcement agencies, it's best to comply to their wishes, else, either they will be killed or they will be embroiled in a life long litigation, with years in Jail, without getting an relief from the Indian court's. STORY:- A farmer leader Mr Tikait is advising Salman khan to apologize to the Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a controversy regarding the killing of black buck deer in Rajasthan, which happened nearly 20 years back.

MAKING BUSES OUT OF TRUCKS !!! India is a typical country where the Govt orders car manufacturers to ensure adequate safety features for the passengers, but miserably fails to have any safety guidelines, when it comes to its own vehicles used as public transport. The Govt's are least bothered about the safety of the poor and the middle class population in India, who have to solely rely on the public transportation. Unlike in most developed countries, public transport buses are built on a trucks chassis ( structure) which in incomprehensible. The trucks chassis doesn't have the required shock absorbing capacity and safety features, as is required by the buses carrying women, children, old people and others. Anyone who has travelled by a public transport bus would understand the plight of the poor people, who have to go through so much of harrasment and discomfort while travelling on such buses, especially if one has to sit on the seats which are at the end. India needs a fresh and new policy on the manufacturing of the buses, they shouldn't be manufactured on the trucks chassis, by the local fabricators, having no comfort & safety for the passengers. Buses, like cars must be manufactured as a single composite unit, instead of it being manufactured in parts by local fabricators. Hope the Govt's start thinking about the 90% of the population of India stead of just looking after the interests of the 10 % population . STORY:- A citizen journalist had posted this video of Maharashtra Public Transport Bus, which seems to be falling apart, while it is being used for the people, who have no other source of transportation than the one's run by the Govt.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? The outgoing Chief Justice of India Mr DY Chandrachud had recently raised a concern regarding his legacy. Most of his progressive initiatives and lectures are likely to be clouded by his conduct inside the court, his various controversial judgments on Judge Loya, Pegasus, Election Reforms, Long incarceration of students, Activists, Journalists, letting constitutionalism erode, not bringing about transparency in Judicial appointments and worse inviting the head of the Executive for a religious ceremony will continue to question his morality and values. SOME RELEVANT EXCERPTS BY AVAY SHUKLA, a retired IAS officer and the author of Disappearing Democracy Justice Chandrachud had many opportunities to do the right thing, to restore the autonomy of institutions (appointment of election commissioners), to reign in rampaging state governments (the bulldozers of UP, Nuh and Uttarakhand), to prevent the illegal surveillance of citizens (the Pegasus 'inquiry' where the Union government dared tell him that it would not cooperate!), the restoration of statehood (in Jammu and Kashmir), to restore legitimately elected governments brought down by totally illegal means (Maharashtra), to restore faith and credibility in the electoral process (the repeated petitions to return to paper ballots or do a 100 per cent verification and matching of VVPATS), to question an unaccountable Election Commission on its dubious actions and decisions (delay in uploading voter counts, non-issue of forms 17C, mismatch in votes cast and votes counted, failure to take action under the model code of conduct against high functionaries of the government). Perhaps the worst of all was that, under his lordship's watch, thousands of social activists, journalists. dissenters, and academics continue to languish in jails without trial or even bail. Umar Khalid's bail petitions have been adjourned, I believe, 14 times, with a succession of judges recusing themselves without any explanation. The Koregaon accused are being released on bail in instalments, as if justice is a divisible commodity. Some of them have even died under these conditions (the 80-year-old Stan Swamy), or as a result of the inhuman treatment meted out to them while in custody, the most recent being Prof. G.N. Saibaba, a man with 90 per cent disability who was kept in jail for almost a decade without being convicted of any offence He watched in silence the creeping politicisation of some of the high courts, their judges openly expressing allegiance to religions, the religious biases in their judgments, judges joining political parties and even standing for elections immediately after retiring, retired judges attending religious conclaves. STORY Senior Advocate Shri Dushyant Dave on the legacy of the outgoing Chief Justice of India and the disturbing precedents which will continue to haunt the Indian Judiciary for a very long time.

COURSE CORRECTION!! Bureaucrats in India need serious course correction, their behaviour / conduct in and with public suggests conceit, abuse of power and authority. The people need to stop following and hailing them on the social media. It comes very naturally to most people in India, to be subservient, pliable, amenable and shower meritless praises on the Bureaucrats and Police offs, when ever they put any post on the social media, this mental slavery must stop. Most bureaucrats understand and play on this public subservience, the day people start becoming critical and seek accountability, there will be a marked change in the way Bureaucrats behave and conduct themselves. STORY:- Behaviour of this young Bureaucrat in Delhi is extremely concerning, he is going to " serve" the people for next 30 to 35 years, holding different Govt positions. Here he is seen on the roads with a wooden rod ( lathi) while penalizing people for traffic violations, which is illegal. His vehicle was causing a huge traffic jam, when one of the citizens approached him to remove his vehicle from the road, he ordered his arrest.

HONEST OR HYPOCRITICAL? Indian society must empathise with the young people, who sell off their family wealth/ land and take a big risk by trying to enter and stay in foreign countries illegally. The question that should bother every Indian:- How did a poor uneducated person get so much " wisdom" & conviction that made him decide, that it's better to risk imprisonment or may be death, than to continue living in India? It's very sad that the Politicians are seen talking about such serious issues in such a hypothetical manner. It must be understood that people leave their home's only when they are convinced that the future is bleak and uncertain. Nepotism and favouritism are the only qualities which are needed in India to get the top positions. India needs truth, honesty, vision and solutions, it doesn't want hypothetical lecturing, which is devoid of facts, figures & realities. STORY BY MR SHEETALP SINGH ( JOURNALIST) The daughter of our Vice President, Dhankhar Ji, did her schooling from MGD School in Jaipur. After this, she went to the famous Mayo College Ajmer and graduated from the famous Beaver College in America. Beaver College has now become Arcadia University.
