Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India in collaboration with the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), hosted a one-day workshop on “Exploring Innovations and Funding Opportunities in Biotechnology. The workshop aimed to inform faculties and researchers from institutions across Gujarat about various science and technology schemes and programs offered by the Government of India, encouraging their participation to strengthen the state's biotech ecosystem. During the workshop, the DBT team discussed several key S&T initiatives, including the DBT HRD schemes, Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC)'s entrepreneurship programs, the alignment of the National Education Policy with university academic programs, the National Skill Qualification Framework, vocational training, apprenticeship opportunities, and the BioE3 policy.
