On 3rd November 2024, the HCG Vijayawada unit successfully organised a Cyclothon. It was held in recognition of World Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Two hundred participants took a cycle ride throughout Vijayawada city, each wearing our t-shirts as a symbol of unity and hope. In a heartfelt effort to raise awareness about breast cancer, HCG Panda Cancer Hospital, Cuttack, along with the Runners & Racers Club, Cuttack Cyclist, and The Cycleaholics Club, organized a cyclothon on November 3, 2024. The event opened with inspiring words from the organizers and honoured guests, Dr. Ranjit Kar and Dr. Bijan Kumar Saha, who reminded everyone of the power of health and awareness. A warm-up session brought everyone together, setting the energy for the day. Flagged off by Dr. Kar and Dr. Saha, the 10-kilometre ride traced the scenic Phulnakhara route and returned to HCG Panda Cancer Hospital. A vibrant flash mob to beloved Michael Jackson songs such as "You Are Not Alone" and "Can You Feel It" uplifted the crowd, each note resonating with a message of hope and support for breast cancer awareness. Professor Dr. Krupasindhu Panda shared a brief, impactful message on early detection and prevention, emphasizing that awareness is the first step in the fight against cancer.
