On November 4, 2024, HCL Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, to develop the Government Veterinary Hospital in Sandila, Hardoi, as a Centre for Artificial Insemination & Animal Husbandry Extension Services (CAAES). The MoU was exchanged by Shri K. Ravindra Nayak, Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, GoUP, and Mr. Alok Varma, Project Director - Samuday & My Clean City, HCL Foundation, in the presence of Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh. At the ceremony, a training booklet developed by HCL Foundation on Improved Animal Management Practices for dairy farmers was also unveiled by the dignitaries. Under this partnership, Samuday by HCLFoundation will strengthen the hospital’s technical capabilities by establishing USG & X-ray facilities and pathological and diagnostic services. Empowering Women in Technology: HCLFoundation's Cloud Computing IT Skill Training Programme HCLFoundation's Cloud Computing IT Skill Training Programme at Bangalore Yuvakendra has empowered 107 young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to break into the cloud computing industry. Despite facing significant challenges, including 48% from farming families, 29% with daily wage laborer parents, and 22% raised by single mothers, these women demonstrated remarkable passion and determination. Through this programme, they mastered critical AWS skills, including cloud storage, databases, virtual machines, and load balancing, gaining hands-on experience. The programme extended beyond technical skills, offering job readiness sessions on communication, LinkedIn networking, and mock interviews, supported by industry experts, including AWS leaders and HCLTech volunteers. Their journey showcases their strength and resilience, highlighting HCLFoundation's commitment to skilling and inclusive growth. We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our first-ever capacity building workshop for north India-based coaches under - 'Sports Shiksha powered by HCLFoundation' in partnership with the Abhinav Bindra Foundation. 77 Coaches/Community Leaders from 7 cities (Noida, Lucknow, Delhi, Ajmer, Nagpur, Sagar, Guna) participated in this insightful two-day workshop focused on sports science and the holistic development of grassroots coaching.
