Earlier today, we kicked off the inaugural session of the Ninja Acceleration Program for Growth Stage in Uganda, an initiative by the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). After a rigorous process of evaluating 128 total unique applications through a 3-Phase approach we arrived at Top-10 startups who will be participating in a 3-Months Acceleration Program. One of the Key Takeaways of the JICA NINJA Acceleration Program is a curated “Nairobi Immersion Program”, for the 10 entrepreneurs who will be a part of the cohort. The immersion program will focus on warm introductions to large enterprises, connects with potential investors and a networking evening that will open up opportunities for the cohort, and help them further establish their presence in the largest market in the region. We are pleased to announce the jury members who will be evaluating the Stage-2 and Stage-3 of the applications screening process for the JICA NINJA Growth Acceleration Program. The applications will be evaluated across parameters such as financials, growth trajectory, expansion potential, business acumen of the founders amongst other metrics. We are following a multi-stage screening process, and the cohort for the JICA NINJA Growth Acceleration Program will be selected by our jury members who bring in their expertise from different industries across multiple markets.
