  • This is quite a statement. “The generation through our solar power plant has cut off 200 tonnes of Co2 emission per year.” At Hari Krishna Exports, we believe that supporting the planet’s green efforts is essential. Not optional. Our shift towards renewable energy sources is essential to mitigate the harmful impact of non-renewable energy on the environment. We believe that this shift is a model for others to follow as we all race to repair the damage caused by centuries of harmful energy sources. Through the installation of solar panels, the Dholakia Foundation has successfully generated 2.8 million units of clean energy. This means that all HK manufacturing operations are running on clean electricity, massively reducing the company's carbon footprint and promoting a shift to energy independence. How are you supporting the global clean energy shift that we must all make?

  • When does a vision need to evolve? At Hari Krishna Exports, we have always maintained that our vision for the future is to be recognised as one of the world's foremost diamond companies. The promise of exceptional standards in diamond creation and employee well-being remains strong at the heart of everything we do here at HK. • There was once a time when people bought diamonds without knowing or caring where they came from. Not any more. At Hari Krishna Exports, it has always been our mission to provide buyers with the information they need on the diamonds being sold. This is why we are proud to be partnered with and certified by the following associations and bodies: ● GIA - Providing certificates for all diamonds digitally or in soft copy format. ● IGI - Screening each diamond to determine its origin, allowing us to provide valid certification ● HRD - Customers deserve to know that they are investing in ethically sourced diamonds. ● Forevermark - Certificates that provide more in-depth information about your diamonds ● CanadaMark - An origin hallmark, representing diamonds genuinely mined in Canada's North Western territories. How closely do you look at partnerships and certificates before making your diamond-buying decision?

How important is the morale of your team when it comes to productivity and growth? In 2018, we tested something new for the first time. 1700 HK employees were rewarded at a Skilled Incentive Ceremony in Mumbai and Surat and honoured by Shri Narendra Modi. This was a truly unique experience for the skilled employees who have shown dedication to their craft and gone above and beyond to support the growth of Hari Krishna Exports. Rewards included cars, flats, jewellery, and so much more. It was a moment of huge recognition for some incredible people who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, helping their colleagues to do the same. What initiatives are you planning to boost team morale?

  • How familiar are you with the 4Cs in the diamond certification process? Let’s take a closer look. Cut - The cut of a diamond, which reflects both its shape and the craftsmanship involved, is the primary factor that determines its sparkle. Unlike other characteristics, the cut is the only aspect of a diamond that is entirely shaped by human skill and expertise. Colour – While most diamonds appear transparent, lower-quality diamonds tend to exhibit a yellow hue. Diamonds are graded on a scale from colourless (D) to very yellow (Z). Other coloured diamonds, such as blue and pink diamonds, are exceptionally rare and rank among the most expensive gemstones in the world. Clarity – Most diamonds contain inclusions, which are small mineral flecks or tiny fractures. The greater the number of inclusions, the lower the clarity. Conversely, diamonds with fewer inclusions have higher clarity and are more valuable. Carat – Carat is an important factor in deciding the settings (ornament or jewellery). Smaller diamonds, smaller settings. The overall value of a diamond is influenced more significantly by its colour, cut, and clarity than by its size alone. The 4Cs are among the most important factors when determining the quality of an individual diamond, with every official certificate including them. Click the link in the comments for a more detailed look at the 4Cs.

  • We had the privilege to represent ourselves at this year’s Sustainability Awards by JWA, where our commitment to environmental stewardship was acknowledged. At the time of recognition, our Mission 102030 had already seen the successful plantation of 2.8 million trees. Today, we proudly share that this number has surpassed 3 million, further enriching the landscape and enhancing biodiversity. Our dedication doesn’t stop there. Through Mission River, we initially constructed 100 lakes, but this number has now grown to 159, with our latest achievement, Fuliba Sarovar, becoming a vital resource for countless farmers and communities. We are honored to have our efforts recognized with the Jury’s Special Recognition Award, and we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainability, ensuring that our actions continue to make a lasting impact on our environment and society. #recognition #sustainability #environmentalstwerdship #hkdiamonds #hkcares #missionriver

  • We strive towards a time when the only diamonds sold are certified diamonds. But why are diamonds certified and what is the value of this process? Firstly, diamond grading is an impartial inspection of several points, ensuring that no invested party influences the results. Once complete, a certificate is produced covering the following details: ● The 4Cs - a diamonds carat, colour, clarity and cut ● Polish and symmetry grade ● Any fluorescence ● Any treatments that might enhance its appearance ● A unique serial number to link the diamond with the certificate In a world where buyers demand to know the details of the products they invest in, diamond certification has become an essential part of the sale process. Any certification that has not come from an independent lab (GIA, HRD, IGI are all organisations that HK work with) should be questioned, as its authenticity may not be genuine.

  • Last month, we celebrated 32 years of Hari Krishna Exports. A milestone few companies reach and one that everyone here is hugely proud of. Throughout that time, there have been some stand-out moments that we would love to share. 1994 - The opening of our Panchatantra office in Mumbai helped us accommodate a growing workforce, establishing us as a strong player in the Indian diamond market. 1999 - Becoming a government-recognised export house allowed us to expand our reach beyond the Indian market which until now has served us so well. 2002 - A year where the huge achievement of a 100 crore turnover was overshadowed by the launch of HK Jewels 2005 - After 13 years of diamond manufacturing, we launched our domestic jewellery brand, HK Designs. It was to be the start of our journey from diamond polishing to jewellery making. 2012 - A huge milestone was achieved as Hari Krishna Exports became a De Beers sightholder, Rio Tinto Select Diamantaire, and a member of the RJC. 2017 - A new Hari Krishna logo was unveiled and the HK Hub was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. 2021 - Kisna Gold & Diamond Franchise was launched expanding Hari Krishna Exports’ reach in the jewellery market. 2023 - Hari Krishna Exports received the prestigious Dun & Bradstreet ESG Leadership Award in the Environment-Climate Impact category. For a full list of everything Hari Krishna Exports has achieved over the last 3 decades, thanks in no small part to the incredible people we work with, please click the link in the comments and read all about it on our website.

  • We are honored to welcome Kamlesh D. Patel, affectionately known as Daaji, from Heartfulness to our facilities today! As frontrunners of the Heartful Diamond initiative, it was charismatic to witness the Global Guide Heartfulness he is leading. Daaji’s dedication to heart-centered meditation and holistic well-being resonates deeply with our values at Hari Krishna Exports. Both Heartfulness and HK are committed to creating a world of inner peace, unity, and mindfulness through our respective crafts. Just as Heartfulness promotes tranquility and self-awareness through meditation, HK brings the brilliance of diamonds to light, symbolizing clarity and purity. Together, let’s continue to spread the light of inner peace and harmony. #heartfulness #mindfulness #peace #unity #HKcares #InspiringVisits #daaji #holisticwellbeing

  • This is possibly our most ambitious goal to date at HK. But that has never stopped us before. The Dholakia Foundation has set the aspirational target of planting 10 million trees by 2030. This is an initiative that sits under the title: Mission 102030. Aligned with other global restoration goals, this project aims to tackle the growing concerns we have around deforestation in India especially. It is a mission that will also combat the continued challenges around climate crisis, with deforestation being a major cause of: ● Extreme weather events ● Loss of the planet-green lungs Can you believe that in Gujarat alone, there has been a staggering and quite simply, unacceptable 101 hectares of tree cover lost? This is the equivalent of 53.2 kt of CO2 emissions. What you also may not know is that as a customer of HK, you can directly impact our collective goal every time you purchase diamonds or sign up to plant trees on our website. We believe that everyone has a huge responsibility to look after this world of ours and turn the climate crisis corner before it’s too late. Will you help us achieve our goal?
