About us

International Association for Human Values (IAHV), a sister organization of The Art of Living was founded by H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in 1997 in Geneva to foster a deeper understanding of the values that unite us as a global community. Spread over 180 countries, IAHV focuses on empowering people and communities with inclusive and sustainable development interventions, fostering universal human values and resilience. IAHV’s programs enhance clarity of mind, shift attitudes and behaviors, and develop leaders and communities that are resilient, responsible, and inspired. Starting with focus on education in its early days, IAHV has expanded to provide integrated development solutions. It now runs programs that cover 11 out of 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). IAHV’s main thrust areas include improving rural and urban education, environment protection and sustainability, climate change adaptation and mitigation, promoting health and hygiene, disaster relief and rehabilitation and providing employment through skilling.
