For years, industries have operated in a linear model—produce, consume, dispose. But with EPR, we are shifting towards a #circulareconomy, where manufacturers take ownership of their products beyond the point of sale. While some may see this as a compliance burden, the truth is EPR presents an incredible opportunity! 🔹 Driving Innovation – Companies are rethinking materials, packaging, and processes to create #sustainable, cost-effective solutions. 🔹 Enhancing Brand Reputation – Consumers today favor brands that prioritize environmental responsibility. EPR strengthens a company's commitment to #sustainability. 🔹 Creating New Business Models – From recycling partnerships to take-back programs, EPR opens doors to new revenue streams and collaboration opportunities. 🔹 Reducing Environmental Impact – Less waste in landfills, lower carbon footprints, and more efficient resource utilization. Instead of resisting change, let’s embrace EPR as a catalyst for transformation. Businesses that align with #sustainability will not only comply with regulations but also lead the future of responsible production. 📥 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gqE_Ja6J by Prabhjot Sodhi MBE, Sr. Program Director (Circular Economy) CEE.

  • Holi is a festival of colors, joy, and togetherness. But amidst the celebrations, let's also think about our impact on the planet. This year, let’s embrace a #circulareconomy approach to Holi by: ♻️ Using Natural Colors – Opt for organic, plant-based colors that are safe for both us and the environment. 🚰 Saving Water – Celebrate with dry colors or limit excessive water usage. 👕 Reusing Old Clothes – Instead of buying new white outfits, repurpose old clothes for the festivities. 🗑️ Reducing Waste – Say no to plastic packaging and single-use balloons. Choose #sustainable alternatives! Just like in the #circulareconomy, where materials are reused, repurposed, and recycled, let’s make Holi a festival that celebrates not just colors, but also #sustainability. 🌍💚 The International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE) wishes everyone a Happy, Green, and #Sustainable Holi! Let’s spread joy responsibly and work towards a more #circular and eco-friendly future. 🎉🌿 #SustainableHoli #CircularEconomy #GreenCelebrations #Holi2025 #EcoFriendlyFestival #ICCE #InternationalCouncilForCircularEconomy 4o

  • 𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐃𝐑𝐘 𝐌𝐒𝐖/𝐑𝐃𝐅 𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐍 𝐀𝐒 𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐔𝐄𝐋 The cement industry is at the forefront of adopting waste-to-energy solutions to enhance #sustainability and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. One such innovative approach is the use of dry Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) in cement kilns. By integrating RDF as an alternative fuel, we can: ✅ Reduce landfill waste and promote a #circulareconomy 🌍 ✅ Lower CO₂ emissions and enhance environmental compliance ♻️ ✅ Cut down fuel costs while ensuring energy efficiency ⚡ ✅ Utilize high-temperature cement kilns for complete and safe combustion 🔥 However, successful co-processing requires proper RDF preparation, quality control, and adherence to regulatory standards to ensure smooth operations. With the right strategies, the cement industry can significantly contribute to #sustainablewastemanagement and energy recovery. 📥 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gmzs3aQQ by Manoj Kumar Rustagi, EVP and Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer, Monika Shrivastava, Head - Sustainability and Aishwarya Rai, Deputy Manager - Sustainability at JSW Cement #Sustainability #CementIndustry #WasteToEnergy #AlternativeFuels #CircularEconomy

  • 🍀 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐂𝐈𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐁𝐈𝐎-𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐌𝐘🌍 The world is witnessing an unprecedented paradigm shift—what worked yesterday may no longer hold relevance today. As industries, economies, and strategic priorities evolve, agility and adaptability are now the key differentiators. Consider India's financial sector: A decade ago, financial inclusion led to the rise of new banking entities. Today, the focus has shifted to mergers and acquisitions to optimize operational efficiency. Globally, businesses once sought China-entry strategies, whereas today, China-exit strategies are shaping boardroom discussions. These shifts underline one reality—the need for #sustainable, future-ready solutions. To meet today’s #sustainability challenges, we must foster innovation-driven models that align with #circulareconomy principles. Industries must embrace: ✅ Resource Optimization – Maximizing value from bio-based materials ✅ Waste-to-Wealth Solutions – Transforming waste into economic opportunities ✅ Collaborative Ecosystems – Building cross-sector partnerships for impact ✅ Scalable and Inclusive Growth – Ensuring access and benefits for all communities The future belongs to those who innovate with #sustainability at the core. It’s time for businesses, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to come together and drive this much-needed change. 📥 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gQF5xBFw by Vipin Kumar Chief Scientist, National Innovation Foundation - India, Tushar Garg-Scientist, Shubhamika Jha-Project Associate I and LALITHA PRIYA U-Research Associate III #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #Innovation #BioEconomy #FutureOfBusiness
