ICRISAT, in collaboration with Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation - ITEC & Ministry of External Affairs, India, is conducting a two-week training program on Intellectual Property Rights for Policy-Level Interventions in an International Context. This program aims to provide in-depth insights into global IP systems, various types of IPR, applicable laws, implementation frameworks, and IP policies, along with national and international standards. Inaugurated the “International Training on ‘Comprehensive Learning on Intellectual Property Rights for Policy level Interventions in International Context.” The training course is organized by International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), under the aegis of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program of Government of India from 17 - 29 March 2025. Thirty-four participants from eighteen countries are undergoing the training.

ICRISAT at Kilimo Biashara Expo 2024! Reinforcing its commitment to advancing climate-smart agriculture and promoting resilient farming systems in #Kenya, #ICRISAT showcased improved seed varieties of sorghum, millet, and groundnut— that offer high nutritional value and superior drought tolerance at the event. The two-day event, held on March 14–15 at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) Seed Centre in Thika, attracted over 5,000 attendees, including researchers, farmers, business leaders, and students from across the country.

Through the Drought Tolerant Crops for Youth Job Creation program, #ICRISAT provided foundation seed for #sorghum, green gram & groundnut to farmers to expand production. Led by Africa Harvest Biotech Foundation International & Mastercard Foundation, this initiative equips young farmers with quality seeds & training, creating agribusiness opportunities in Kitui, Makueni & Tharaka Nithi counties, #Kenya.
