Ltd., a JBM Auto Limited subsidiary, has accomplished a ₹5,500 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 for deploying 1,021 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 under the 𝗣𝗠 𝗲-𝗕𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘄𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲-2. These buses will operate across 19 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮. The company now has over 11,000 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: - Expected to cover 32 billion passenger e-kilometers over 12 years - Projected CO2 emission reduction of over 1 billion tons - Payment Security Mechanism (PSM) to ensure financial sustainability The PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme-2 aims to expand electric bus adoption to tier-2 and tier-3 cities, reducing pollution and enhancing public transportation. "We aim to make electric mobility more accessible and environmentally responsible," he said. @JBM Auto, now in its tenth year in the mobility sector, plans to serve 20 billion passengers and cover 3 billion e-kilometers in the next few years. Its Delhi-NCR manufacturing plant can produce up to 20,000 buses annually. This contract underlines JBM’s pivotal role in achieving India’s clean transportation goals.
